Bear Creek Family Dentistry — Local services in Dallas

As a public service announcement I would like to warn you as customers that at this establishment you will meet a very nice gentleman who manages the location and then everything else will sorely disappoint you. The dentist is barely old enough to drive and the service you will receive will make you regret choosing this place. I came in severe pain and left in severe pain - the only thing I was given was a treatment plan for thousands and thousands of dollars of how these guys would be happy to take my money going forward. So, if you are in excruciating pain and in desperate need of a dentist and this place (and this dentist) is your absolute only option, I would recommend that you slam your head against the wall and you will regret it far less than going to Bear Creek Family Dental.

Just an update bc I was looking over my previous reviews and saw this one. No one from this office ever reached out to me or tried to fix this in any way. I don’t understand all these 5 star reviews when I went in there and nobody did ANYTHING to help me. I ended up losing that dang tooth in the long run and to this day I still have some kind of anxiety about going to the dentist based on my experience at this place. The kid that was the dentist told me he “didn’t have a prescription pad” and that’s why he couldn’t prescribe anything to help me in any way. Bear Creek are sooo sweet. My child (5yrs old) was freaking out about seeing a dentist. Walked in and was greeted immediately. She saw the playground. They gave her balloons to ease her. Later they asked me to take a picture. I said sure. They took my child to take her xrays. Im thinking that they will call me back because she will be scared. Nope! They didnt call me and I can hear my child laughing and having a ball with the xray techs. Doctor was kind and gentle. Normally my child is very skittish and doesn't trust well but the entire experience she felt safe and fine with a huge smile. At the end they talk about any next steps that need done. Pricing is given and a appointment is scheduled. I also get a button and key chain charm with my child's picture (same picture they took at walk in) I am very pleased with how they treated my child. We’ve been here now a few times to hopefully get a treatment for my son. I’ve had to reschedule said treatment now 3 times because of the lack of information the staff gives. Aside from this, the wait time is over an hour after your scheduled appointment. I watched several patients be taken back for cleanings and would be out in under 5 minutes. My son has also had a “cleaning” here. Once, the tooth brush was put in his mouth one time and that was all. This will now be my second time reporting them to Medicaid and taking it a step further by filing a complaint to the State Board. The lack of transparency and consideration to patient and families time is severely lacking from the entire staff. Even in knowing my son has a disability and after claiming that they had proper training with kids like mine.
