I was looking up Indian restaurants in the DFW area, and as a sucker for puns, the name caught my attention.
Iām not going to lie, I did get lost trying to get there. There isnāt a large store front sign so itās easy to drive by. But there is a lot of parking available.
I placed my order online, which was very easy. The online order form is powered by Toast.
Iām upset that I didnāt take pictures of the food, but thatās how good (and hungry I was). I got the pakora, samosas, garlic naan, butter chicken, chicken (bone-in) biryani, and mango lassi!
The pakora was really good; it was seasoned well and crispy, and the portion size was generous.
The veggie samosas were also fantastic! The pastry was flaky and the inside was delicious. It wasnāt very spicy.
The garlic naan was good, although I wish there was a little more garlic flavor. Other than that, the bread was fluffy and a great vehicle for my butter chicken. Speaking of, the butter chicken was fantastic! Very flavorful, and the chicken was tender.
Furthermore, I was impressed by the chicken biryani! The chicken was falling off the bone, but not overcooked. The rice itself was very aromatic and was nice and fluffy.
Lastly, while I enjoyed the Mango Lassi, compared to some others Iāve had in the past, it is a little thicker and paler. I wish there was a bit more mango flavor coming through, but it was nice and refreshing to drink!
Overall, I enjoyed this place, and Iād...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreZERO CHICKEN and when I called them instead of them offering to make it right they said to file a dispute with uber eats. No prob, I did. Do yourself a favor and just order from Elephant Indian Grill instead. I am a tiny 110 lb female and this isnāt enough chicken for a 4 year old. If you donāt want to put meat in the dish because YOU listed it as a special offer on uber eats for buy one get one then just donāt put the offer on the platform. This isnāt even worth $5. Itās really just a side of curry sauce. Now I have no dinner after spending $26.
To your response: It is not my fault that you chose to do a buy one get one offer on uber eats. It is the only reason I tried your restaurant for the first time. I paid $26 plus $7 tip so $33 total. I didnāt hold you responsible for the delay at all. What I do hold you responsible for is giving your quoted ā6 piecesā of chicken. That is 6 baby bites not pieces. Good luck, your business will fail with your ā6 pieces of chickenā served...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me tell you, I have been waiting for high quality, perfectly spiced, authentic Indian food in the design district, and in general downtown Dallas area. This place meets that description and more.
In my opinion, for take out Indian food, this place rivals what you would get in Irving and Coppell and Frisco. I would say, This beats out anything you could get in Dallas proper.
The portions are appropriate, the sauces are very flavorful. I served this to a group of mostly south Asian people, and we were all highly impressed. The malai murgh is the best Ive ever had, and their butter chicken curry is perfect.
However, if you have a sweet tooth (or not so sweet tooth), you need to try the sepota and sitafal shakes. Not too sweet, the taste is spot on.
Itās the...
