First of all, I never write reviews, & I really wanted to enjoy this experience. I consistently work 80+ hours & loathe shopping. I was looking forward to have someone help me find pieces I was looking for w/out having to spend hours at different stores. I did a style session bc I don't always wear the same size, hate extra errands in my limited free time, and would rather get on the same page with a stylist, so we can be efficient in getting my sizes/looks in the future.
I said I preferred to be contacted by email, but my stylist was texting me. My phone number was a landline. Didn't notice bc I'd checked I preferred email. Obviously I got no update, questions, confirmation, etc.
In my appointment, she hadn't prepared/pulled anything & items were in the wrong sizes, so a lot of time was spent w/her pulling more items. I said I was in process of rebuilding my wardrobe and was looking to get specific pieces. Due to her being unprepared/not paying attention, most items weren't w/in budget. Sorry not paying $120 for a white tank top/$180 for a meh blouse.
We also didn't vibe. I hate to fault her for that; but it was pulling teeth, and she never seemed to get it. It would be one thing if I had left feeling like we ended on the same page, but it's another to leave feeling like she didn't really get it, discouraged to try it again, that she wouldn't be able to put together a box, and anxiety in having to tell her you're switching stylists. All I wanted was classy, timeless, mostly classic looks with some modern updates like a Meghan Markle. But no, she gave me some of the tackiest pieces, some inappropriate items, and a few basics I didn't love, none of which fit the look I was going for. They also weren't the types of pieces I'd requested. She pulled a striped blazer that is probably forever burned into my brain (black w/thick burgundy &thin gold stripes). I gave up.SO BAD. I don't think a classy, classic look is that difficult, esp. at these price points, so I was incredibly frustrated.I was trying to keep an open mind and said maybe to probably a lot more than I should've bc I was relieved to see a piece I didn't totally hate.
Fast forward - I had been trying on, & I always try to be present and not on my phone constantly. She mentions she'll be late to plans & to start wrapping up. I ask her the time, and she says 12:30. I had to be in Plano at 1pm. My appointment was at 9:30AM. I thought it had felt so long due to how painful it was, not that it had been HOURS. We still hadn't gotten anywhere. I wish she had managed the time we had and been mindful enough to say we don't have a ton of time left, do you want to try more looks, nail down your keeps, or actually put together an outfit? None of these things happened. So she's rushing scanning my items, and I thought she was only adding yes's. I figured we'd do a rapid fire round of maybes. I wasn't too concerned bc she said I had 30 days to return. I said yes OR MAYBE to a decent amount of items trying to keep an open mind and would mull it over at home. If she had said you have 5 days to get a refund, I would have made it a priority. 2 weeks later I discover all of the maybe's were in there. Not happy. Still hate them after the right shoes, most of the basics were still meh. I still kept a lot of the meh pieces.
I text her to return & she can't meet until random times, all between 9-5. This is such an inconvenience. I need to return before 30 days to get a refund.
FUN FACT - YOU HAVE TO RETURN W/IN 5 DAYS TO GET A REFUND! She did NOT mention that. I'm livid. I have $1,600 of merchandise credit on a $5K purchase where I don't love all of the clothes I kept. I'll donate them in 2 years w/tags. I want my $1,600 back, or at the very least to be able to go online and pick my own clothes to use up my credit. I don't even know what I'm going to do now. I didn't get my requested items, have pieces that will likely live forever in my closet, and have $1,600 being held for the ransom of my...
Read moreQuite frankly, I’m a little surprised to see so many 1-star reviews. My experience with my Stylist, Rachel Baker, has always been exemplary. I always fall in love with the options she sends me. The only struggle I ever have comes from me being a little “chesty”, so some options don’t fit me up top when they fit me everywhere else. That’s a tough thing to work around, but Rachel still finds me many outfits I can work with. I have many staples in my closet from great designers. She has dressed me for a trip to NYC, work, and a photo shoot for my company branding. If you aren’t in the market for spending a little extra on clothes with designer labels that will last a long time, this isn’t for you. What I love the most about the program is that Rachel will sometimes text me out of the blue to remind me of credits I have or let me know of fun new outfits she just got in that she thinks I would like. I’ve always been really happy with the service and have a closet full of clothes that I probably wouldn’t have gone out to buy for myself because many of them are outside my comfort zone, but are so much better than things I would’ve...
Read moreI have only received one box and kept three things. There were quite a few things that were not my taste but it was only my first box, I wouldn’t expect Sarah my stylist to get my style the first time especially since I don’t really understand my style lol! Sarah was very nice and easy to communicate with over text. Are the clothes more expensive than what I normally buy, yes, but that was the whole purpose of me trying them out. I needed to upgrade the quality of my wardrobe since I only bought fast fashion type pieces due to them being cheaper. You don’t have to buy the whole wardrobe they send and you can specify if you are shopping for a specific event/occasion. I am trying to upgrade and replace my whole closet so I wanted to start here to get an idea of what I like and what brands fit my style and body type. All in all a great service! I wished I was in Dallas to try...
