The part I'm reviewing is the farm and garden that is partnered with Grow North Texas (Susie is amazing).
The space is geared toward helping women and children on WIC benefits (most of produce) and the Dallas farmers market. They are located in a food desert, so the plan is to expand to a community garden!
I had the pleasure of volunteering with them yesterday and I couldn't stop smiling and getting chills. They are all so passionate about what they do and who and what (the Earth) it helps.
They are genuine human beings and I loved being in their company! They helped me as I helped them-it was a fantastic experience of nature therapy (as Michelle looks at it!).
They take volunteers year-round and will answer any and all questions way above and beyond! Check out the grownorthtexas website to find out more on volunteering and follow them on Instagram...
