Mexican Restaurant 100%! Even with a vast menu of every conceivable Mexican dish, I was told about some other specials they offer that the neighborhood crowd seems to really enjoy, including elótes which are basically Mexican street corn on the cob. I haven't had that here - yet. What I did have today was a whole fried mojarra, which is tilapia. Seasoned and cooked perfectly, and accompanied by a small salad with tomato, lettuce, onion and avocado, along with french fries and a very tasty Spanish rice. The best parts were the salsas, including a squeeze bottle of homemade chile rojo, a creamy concoction of fresh tomatoes jalapenos, possibly Serranos, garlic and onions. What a combo! Beware it has flames in a manner of speaking. Also, I had a large glass of fruit water, which in this case was a delightful, fresh watermelon beverage on ice. Yes, real watermelon. Delicious! They serve a variety of bottled beers, although I was there for lunch and didn't try it. The TV was tuned to Univision. There is a lot of walk-in traffic from the neighborhood. The property looks like it used to house a Hardee's, Burger King or some such, with an area out front that is fenced and which probably once contained a kiddie playground of some kind. It's not easy to get into the parking spot, because there is no median turn lane there, but it's worth the effort to weave between other businesses and I guarantee you'll want to find your own special way to come...
Read moreHorrible customer service. I ordered the mild ceviche, berrea flautas, and a aqua fresca. I had stopped in from visiting a friend in Dallas and had to drive back to Fort Worth. I was given my drink and after a long wait was told my order was ready. I picked it up walked out and got in my car and started driving I was in traffic in Arlington and decided to have a few bites of my food look at my order the flautas were not there and I take a bite of the ceviche and it's the extra spicy one which was so hot I could not eat it and I had specifically asked for the mild one and this was even after they had given me a little sample to try they still gave me the one that was super spicy. I spent 40 something dollars and didn't even get something that was edible. I tried multiple multiple times that evening to call and inform them that they had given me the wrong order and could never get anyone to answer the phone. When I went back the next day and told them about it they refused to make it right. So I just basically contributed to them $40 for nothing just to give them 40 bucks. This place is not good. I can't comment how the food tastes because what I was giving I was unable to eat and I didn't even get my other part of the order. the customer service is...
Read moreLate night find for good food and great service. I ordered tacos and Gorditas and both turned out to be really good. Meat was cooked and had good flavor to it.. Cheap eats. Cleanliness can be improved. Did not try any of the fruity drinks but they have a big selection. Patio dining is available. Music was crass and loud but it is what is expected. If you don't want loud music in a Mexican joint you can always go to Taco Bell. Haha....
