I wish I could give the glowing reviews others have, but I unfortunately didn’t have the glowing experience others did. First, let me start that the venue is a beautiful blank canvas and that is not in question here. It made for a beautiful backdrop to my wedding and received many compliments. Second- my bartender for the night was absolutely fabulous and made up for some of my earlier issues. She was fun, always smiling, and truly was a bright spot on a rough go with the venue. Now the dark spots on our wedding planning…. We signed our contract for the venue early on and honestly it was our own fault for this as we trusted verbal statements on top of our very vague contract. Many of the promises made on our tour never actually came to fruition. The promise of tons of vendor options never happened and ended up being one choice. We ended up having to ask for other choices because the one given was absolutely not going to work for us. Communication with the venue was sub par at best. Getting a hold of someone was always a nightmare and often not the most warm and fuzzy feeling communication most brides want when communicating about their special day. The poor communication was also noted by some of our other vendors and Often was a topic we dealt with when the vendors were having trouble getting ahold of the venue. I paid them a HUGE check which included the extras they offered and I asked for. On my wedding day, I didn’t get some of the things we paid for or the promised items as part of our package. I emailed after our wedding requesting a refund for those items (and honestly just to make them aware for the future that this was a contract promise) and conveniently never heard back (3 weeks ago!). Honestly, it wasn’t about the money, it was about them caring enough to respond back after they already had my money. On the wedding morning, I was questioned on something we had already discussed and they Said they didn’t know about it…. But they actually recommended the vendor for the items…They also tried to tell us we needed to remove all our items by midnight when our contract clearly stated 1 AM and our planners actually had to bring up the contract to ensure we got what was agreed upon and planned for with all vendors.
Just a lot of little frustrations that made for a poor experience that would have been a nightmare without our wedding planners!

The venue itself is stunning, with beautifully landscaped grounds and elegant indoor spaces that provided the perfect backdrop for both the ceremony and the reception.
The staff at Hickory Creek went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of. From the early planning stages and addressing all our questions, to assisting with the rehearsal and providing exceptional service throughout the reception, they were outstanding every step of the way.
Overall, Hickory Creek Event Center exceeded my expectations in every way. I’m so grateful for the unforgettable memories they helped create!

The venue is absolutely beautiful and the bridal suite upstairs is incredible! It is honestly any brides dream to get ready in that beautiful upstairs area while they bring you mimosas!
