California Pho — Restaurant in Davenport

This is my favorite restaurant in the QCA and my favorite Vietnamese restaurant period.

As soon as you walk in, you get flooded with an aroma that's fragrant and fresh.

I love how spaced out the tables are. It's like you're eating in community and on your own all at the same time.

The man who runs it is really friendly, welcoming, and humble.

It's amazing that they have such a large menu and everything is so fresh and distinct in flavor. Sometimes in restaurants I feel like I can order different things but they taste similar. At California Pho, each menu item is really unique, prepared with the ingredients, style and technique to make that particular dish shine (which is super fun if you like to try lots of different food and flavors).

We don't eat pork or too much red meat, so that limits what we have ordered here but everything we've gotten so far has been great -- the chicken pho, appetizer egg crepe, sizzling shrimp (can't remember the exact name), vegetable curry,... Each one hits a different and delicious note.

When we're in Davenport, this is my go to restaurant to go back to. The food and experience is consistently amazing. I'm really glad to have found this place so soon after moving to the QCA. We will be regular...

This place is very large and would accommodate sizeable groups. My friends sandwich I'm told was tasty! My chicken pho was okay. The chicken was a plank of heated frozen meat, very dry and hard to swallow. The soup itself was tasteless until I added the extras, even then, it needed a lot more help. For the value, it's worth it honestly, as prices to eat out are ridiculous as a rule.

The gentleman that seated us was very friendly and kind. The atmosphere was okay, aside from the yelling from the staff and the piles of bills and books on a table. The server seemed somewhat confused, but I believe that was more so the cook had items made that were not ordered. The person who helped my friend pay for her bill at the counter took some time to actually get to the counter. If they're trying, that's all that matters.

They have the robot server with the happy music, cute face! It made everyone smile, kids were in awe. I think I'll try again, but not chicken pho. Give them a chance if just for the kids wanting to see the...

I absolutely love this place! My go to for pho. The staff are amazing, the menu is full of wonderful options. Everything I have tried has been perfect. Their sandwiches are to die for and their soups will cleanse the soul. I've ordered to go and the instructions were very detailed to ensure that I have the greatest experience as possible. They truly love their business and their customers. It is nice to be in a establishment that is as passionate about food as I am. When I come down with a cold the Pho helps me recover and makes me feel warm inside.I travel for work and everytime I come home I stop in at least twice before I leave. Probably the number 1 recommendation for a restaurant in the entire Quad Cities. If you have not eaten here , do so.
