Normally Culvers is our favorite fast food burger chain store we go to. We love their crispy lightly charred burgers that are so crisp on the outside yet still very juicy and moist inside. Plus, I have always liked to brag on how hot the fries are. 10 years of eating there they have always been freshly made and hot! Just the way I like them. However, that came to a crashing end. My burger was as thin and charred as my bacon was and if not for the color difference, I would have thought they forgot my burger.. The fries were cold, not even lukewarm. Also, Culvers...you really need to send someone down from Golden Valley, Minnesota to show the Iowa Culver's Stores how to make a chocolate malt correctly. Getting slightly thicker than a glass of whole milk, with no real chocolate flavor despite seeing a bit of it on the inside of the cup, and not getting any malt taste until sucking up the very bottom of the cup, makes it even worse than going to the Burlington or Iowa City Culver's where they have repeatedly given us frozen chocolate shakes that were in regular plastic cups with flat lids that were just taken out of the freezer judging by the frost built up on the outside of the cups.. We used to live in Minnesota, where we always got a thick chocolate malt shake that we practically gave the cup a hickie trying to suck it up. They were always perfectly made and tasted divine. They always came with the dome lids with the wide opening, topped off with whip cream and a drizzle of chocolate, served with both a spoon and a straw, and they were perfect! Sometimes they were too thick for the straw and we had to use a sppon. Often, we went back again and again just for the chocolate malts. Your sign says malts and shakes. So please Culver's, teach your employees here in Iowa the difference between a malt and a shake, and on how to make chocolate malts correctly. My husband and I both came from an era where chocolate malts went hand in hand with a juicy charbroiled burger and real hot fries. You guys nailed this to a T for us in the past but we keep getting disappointed time and again the past couple years since moving to Iowa and this weekends visit to your store in the north west part of Davenport was by far the worst. Which is why I felt compelled to write a not so...
Read moreEarly this month my son and I stopped for a dinner on the way home, and for starters, the drive though girl at the window was the BEST, she was so sweet and welcoming at the speaker during order taking but then when we pulled up it was customer service I never received at a Culver's (I never had a bad one with this restaurant chain btw) we all (cars ahead) stayed at the window making it more personal I felt, no pulling up, and she was so sweet during our interaction, definitely made me smile a few times. She was up beat and peppy still after 830pm!!! The food was fresh, hot, and made exact, without a single "no tomato" etc request mess up, and all this even happened without pulling up to wait!!! Great job to their team that night (1st Wed of Nov, after 830pm), I wish I grabbed her name though so she'd get the acknowledgement and credit of this post. I'm sure your crew at this location knows EXACTLY who she is and I'm sure just a peachy pleasure to work along side. Give this young lady a raise, she is what we need in the future workforce, at least a paid day off or something! It's definitely warranted to...
Read moreWorst food quality ever. Cold fries, asked for new fries and they brought out the same fries redipped, they were more hot but still stale. The tiniest drizzle of peanut butter on the flavor of the month. Kyle did his best to try to correct the issues happening in the kitchen, but he couldn't because the kitchen was that bad!! Another customer came in and made similar complaints as mine. Regardless if I'm paying $5 or $15, my meal should come out hot fresh and with a smile. Kyle did try his best, he gets it, but the manager and rest of the staff that night only cared about leaving as soon as the clock struck 10pm. The only reason I even gave 2 stars was because Kyle attempted to correct the situation. I've never been more dissatisfied with food from a restaurant in all my life. Everyone there that night seemed to be in a bad mood. I thought the point of customer service was to have the customer return, and I will not be returning or recommending this particular...
