We have had issues with this pharmacy location for months now. When requesting refills, they don't have it ready by the quoted time. When we go to pick up the med the next day (or call to check the status), we find that they haven't even started filling the prescription and are told to come back in another day. When we call to complain, the management doesn't care what happens in the pharmacy, and when talking to the pharmacists about an issue, they talk right over us as we are trying to convey our concerns. When they do listen, they don't seem to know what they are talking about or can't give us a straight answer. Poor service. Poor public relations. Poor interpersonal communications skills. Poor customer service. Today, my wife and I found out that a prescription for our 13 month old, which we had requested the refill on 4 days ago, will not be filled today as had been promised; this is after being told the same thing each of the two days prior. It's been one excuse after another. Today they told us that they are out of the ingredients to create the compound... even though the refill request was placed 4 days ago. They didn't have the sense to order more of an ingredient that they knew they were low on and would need in order to fulfill a request. And when I tried explaining my concern over this to the pharmacist, I heard her talking to someone else off the phone, showing no concern whatsoever to the risk her pharmacy was placing my child in! I'm going to find another location to fill my...
Read moreOkay if you have to close because lack of staff it would be nice to send out the text even just an hour before so people can get their meds instead of having to wait until who knows when. I take a controlled medication that I can’t refill until I literally have none left. Well when they randomly close on the Friday I can pick my meds up and don’t open again until Monday I’m SOL and it’s a medication that can be fatal if stopped abruptly. This isn’t the employees fault, however the following is
Also, if you have medication faxed in you’d think they’d know to fill it. Nope, I’ve figured out you still have to call and let them know. Oh and just because you get a text saying your meds are ready doesn’t really mean they are.
I am a super procrastinator so I really have no excuse that I haven’t switched yet. But I’m going to whenever they decide to open again.
Oh also. This was probably a year ago but I’m still annoyed- one time I got a text saying my meds were ready so I go to pick them up, of course they weren’t ready, but because it was like 5 minutes until their break the lady told me they wouldn’t be filling it until after they get back. I’d understand that if it were my fault, but that 5 minutes would have been plenty of time if you actually had it ready. Thankfully the pharmacist who sadly isn’t there anymore ( I’m happy for him tho) filled it while the other...
Read moreI’m on a blood thinner for life. My insurance no longer works with CVS, which is unfortunate as for years I could go there and 5 minutes later I’m out the door. Every time I go to Walgreens to fill a prescription, plan on burning a half hour. I called in a refill on a Wednesday, Thursday I waited in line 15 minutes just to be told they were waiting for doctor authorization. I called my GP Friday to let them know Walgreens hasn’t received any authorization. Was told I would hear from the pharmacy within an hour or two about my refill. Nothing. Sunday rolls around, I go in, for once nobody is in line, but still, three people behind the counter didn’t even acknowledge my presence for several minutes, just carried on their conversation. Only to be told they don’t even have anything in their system for me. Now it’s Monday, I’ve been without my thinner for over 48 hours, I call my doctor’s office, they called it in immediately on Friday when I talked to them. In summarization, I wouldn’t go to Walgreens. They take forever, they don’t acknowledge their customers, and they clearly are overwhelmed & under-staffed to the point they can’t fill a single prescription, even when given several...
