Yesterday pulled up, and it was a car at the window. Not thinking anything about it didn't notice that the person was inside. The person ensured that the person would be moving soon. Ten minutes go by person gets into car leaves. So I pull up. I noticed 20 minutes has gone by and I still haven't received my food. I grab receipt to see how long I've been waiting. I turn off vehicle and go inside. 5 people are in the lobby. A lady comes up to counter asking about strawberry donuts or same lady who took my order from window walks to the back, with an attitude. A man then asked cook to label pies. The lady tells him, I'll do it just needing more help with getting out orders in the lobby. Because no one is in drove thru at this point. The lady is talking to lady like we are short staff but saying it with an attitude, like customers going to not see this. 30 minutes go by. I get my food, but the lady tried arguing about the time. She's like it takes 13 minutes to cook fresh chicken, and you have only been waiting 13 minutes. I held up my receipt and said the time is on this receipt. She gives me bag and I go to my car. I check the bag, went back inside let her know she messed up my order. Giving me mashed potatoes instead of red beans and rice. At this point when I come in she's going off on the lady about the biscuits it's a guy like service huh, laughed like if only you ran your mouth with the dame energy you are preparing people's food. She hands me my red beans and rice, I leave. Before I left I noticed my drink was 4.00 for a strawberry lemonade. 3.50 for the drink it's self another .50 for the puree or shot put in it. Highest drink I ever paid from fast food. Point is service was poor. Other customers waiting and frustrated. To me if ppl are short staffed, they would hire, working ppl from temp agencies. Or other sources, don't think fresh food is asking too much. Then, they have to deal with people's attitudes and other stuff. Everything I was asking for at the menu they didn't have or was out of it. Gallon drinks, shrimp basket. Was very curious to ask what I asked for. On board/ menu said 12 pieces were 33.00, my receipt said 39.00, and then the drink was 4.00. Change the menu to items that you all have. Months ago, I went to Iowa city location and it was not like this service . People were nice, and food was out in an appropriate time. Read moreHorrible experience. Tried putting two flimsy strips on bread and calling it a sandwich. Their grease tanks smell like they haven’t been cleaned in months. Manager took over three minutes to even talk to me at the counter. How the health department hasn’t shut them down baffles me. I can’t stress enough how badly their oil fryers stank. Very disgusting people working here. Young guy in the back was moving slow not wearing gloves. Manager was extremely lazy and ignorant. Paid attention to her friend and her friends kid. Gave them free stuff on the way out. Their chicken was dark. Which means it’s over fried and their oil needs changed. If you go here and you had a half way decent experience know that, that is a fluke and that you will not be treated properly here. Another time they closed an hour early in the drive thru. I drove over to the moline store and ordered there and told them what was going on. They said there was no reason they should have closed an hour early and that they had plenty of food at the Davenport location. They told the owner and the individual got in trouble for closing and not doing his job correctly & that’s what he deserved for being a lazy slacker. So if you don’t want ignorant, slow minded, slobby people handling your food then avoid this Popeyes.

Read moreI should’ve turned away when i saw the lack people at this establishment. Upon walking in i was greeted to flies, loud profane music, and Christmas decor still on some of the lights that are barely hanging on by a thread (it’s april btw). the lady at the counter was kind but it was little to help distract from the flickering light overhead. we received our food after paying 20$ for two spicy chicken sandwich meals an extra biscuit and ranch only to receive food in which we did not order and no receipt to show for it. The food was mediocre but it was not as memorable as the chicken crumbs left scattered about and the swarming flies on our food. Would not recommend you’re better off with ganzos across the street and thats saying something. Bold of them running this shack with a termite control right next door.
Update: just when i thought my experience couldn’t get any worse it did. after sitting down hearing several people come in and shortly leaving after hearing that it’ll take 20 minuets for them to cook up any sort of chicken tender, i dared enter the bathroom for i had to use it. after doing my business i stared into the corners of the bathroom to see several bugs piling within. repulsed by the sight i left...
