I have been coming here to get water for a while, but have never been asked about if I have a Water Card. However, my husband who is Latino always gets asked this whenever he goes to get water inside. He said he has asked other non Latino people if they have a Water Card and they don’t know what it is or have never been asked about it.
Today I witnessed this happening to another Latino man going inside to get water. When he replied “no” the lady didn’t offer it to him or tell him about the card. But just left him alone…..
For a store that proudly honors the LGBTQ+ , why are you making some people feel unwelcome? Davis is for everyone right? Everyone deserves filtered water right? If you are Latino I guess expect to pay before you get water or present your Water Card for more...
