Clara's Table — Local services in Dearborn

I've come here for dinner last night and for brunch the next morning. I want to start off by saying the staff were accommodating and so welcoming. I do judge service in part by how long my water glass stays empty. For dinner, our waitress was more attentive. For brunch, my glass was empty until I had to ask for more water. The dinner needed salt across the board so we asked for salt and pepper. The dispensers barely dispensed. The short ribs were tender but salt was needed; they were my favorite. Salmon was crispy abs the chicken milanese was so delicious (no salt needed there). For brunch, I wish they served the steel cut oats since no one else in Dearborn serves SC oats. We had the omelette, scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, parfait, French toast and coffee. We were very happy with the food but felt the eggs needed salt and again the dispensers only drop like 1 grain at a time. Please replace them. The coffee was dark and the cups were the wide mouth saucers that make the coffee cold almost instantly. Loved the Big Salad! There were many menu items I wanted to order.

Hubby enjoyed the smash burgers with tallow fries that was enough to share with 3 people. Delicious fries.

We had the oysters from Prince Edward Island. The cider vinegar (minuette dressing ??) was ok. We prefer the lemon with horseradish. But we used all of it on our oysters.

This is a review of their mother’s day brunch. I’ve never experienced mother’s day price gauging like this. I was fine with the price, $90 person, but they literally had a dry salmon, super dry pancakes as a “main” with not a single item on that plate but 3 dry pancakes. There was a very average omelette station and some random sandwich slices. Got cold coffee after 30 min wait. The hostess literally sat at the front chomping open mouth with her gum the entire time. Gross. It was like a comedy? The service was lacking, but they tacked on 20% tip for themselves, at a buffet! So...
