Interesting selection of a wide variety with relatively themed items, but is a bit overpriced. The layout has changed a lot since a few years ago, and a few things, like soaps, are scattered about randomly. The kid section is on the very left, so you can let your little one explore there. It’s got some cool items worth checking out. You’ll find a few wacky things. Clothes and a few books, the majority being cook/plant books, are in the middle. Candy and sweets have been moved to the very end of the store on the right. Jewelry and other tourist trinkets are mixed in as well.
TLDR: Your usual museum historic themed gift shop with some unfortunately higher prices.
Here’s a list of some of the things they sell:
Clothes - hats, tshirts (about $20-$40 range), hoodies, sweatshirts, raincoats, a very small selection of shoes
Hygiene - homemade soap bars and soap, hand and body lotion
Dinnerware - plates, bowls, salt shakers, and other small kitchen things
Jewelry & other small Trinkets - necklaces, earrings, pens with names, magnets, postcards
Candy - candy sticks, fudges/blocks of caramel and other sweets, suckers/lollipops, boxes of candy pieces (much like the candy store), Original Hersheys chocolate, and special Greenfield Village chocolate bars (They’re a sort of square shape that is about twice the height of a normal chocolate bar
Toys - small toy cars, trains, animal/bug figures, a couple of train/animal plushies, young...
Read moreWe enjoyed the entire day at Greenfield Village. We have been here several times when we lived in Michigan. We have taken the train and walked through the streets and buildings in the village. It is amazing that so many historic buildings, including the appropriate period furniture and equipment were moved to this location to form the village. We enjoyed the glass blowing and pottery making demonstrations. We also liked the tin shop. We also found the Thomas Edison laboratory to be very interesting. A retired relative in our family, before he died, worked here as a tour guide for several years, well into his 70s. He said that he thoroughly enjoyed meeting new people every day who were visiting the village. We can see why he enjoyed his job at the village after every visit here. I would recommend that you visit this place at least once in your lifetime. The village store has a variety of souvenirs to help you remember your...
Read moreThe new remodel this year looks great. The displays are show-cased, neat and in stock. Cute selections and priced decently for an attraction gift shop.
I'd like to make a special shout out to Devon for going above and beyond in customer service by going out of her way when she really didn't have to. I asked if there were any other colors of the village's collectors glass pumpkins available than what was on the floor. After checking in the back for me, and no such luck, she went to another location on the grounds to get the color I was asking for. It was really kind of her to do that considering anywhere else would have told me to just purchase it online. I really appreciate the customer service that was offered to me today. I visit the village and museum often, and kind interactions such as this (among many others) are a reason I keep...
