Awful. They are not tolerant of visitors with special needs. Worker “Glen” verbally attacked me because my 10 year-old autistic son took his shoes off at the children’s playground. He threatened to call security and have us thrown out if I did not comply immediately with putting his crocs back on his feet. I made my son put his shoes on as soon as he pointed out the sign. Instead of letting the matter go, Glen continued to argue with me calling me a “bad mother” and began shouting at me calling me a liar, when I told him I had been coming there for years. He brought race into it which was even more offensive. His boss Kevin defended him, and told me he has never had one altercation with him and did not find me believable and they literally had security kick us out even though both my kids had their shoes on. They both told me I was using my son’s disability as an excuse to not follow the rules. Awful! This employee “Glen” has been working there for years and I think that is part of the problem. Employees like Glen get a feeling of entitlement because they have several years of service in and think they can treat the public poorly. I don’t want this membership. I am disputing it with my credit card if they don’t refund it. I will not be back with my family. Employee Glen was very aggressive, antagonistic, and oddly he even told me he never had children. His manager Kevin told me he had three. This place needs to be more tolerant of young children and those with disabilities. I paid $315 for my membership, walked in at 4pm. Security threw us out at 4:45 for not following directions and threatened us with trespassing if we didn’t leave. All because my ten year old took his shoes off for five minutes. This man did not want to be at work. As soon as we entered that play area, Glen waived his finger at me at said “you got fifteen minutes” and harassed me and my autistic son the entire time we were there. Regretfully my phone’s battery had died, otherwise I would have recorded his behavior for all the world to see. Here is a picture of this guy below. Avoid him at all costs. He talks too much. He should have let the issue drop after I complied with his directions and put my son’s shoes on. He continued to call me a bad mother, tell me he was going to have us escorted out by security for having a child running around on the playground and being a threat to himself and others. Glen is very aggressive and antagonistic. Update: I got a full refund on my membership. I used to love this place but it is more geared toward elderly workers and elderly visitors. This is not a place to take your children. Disgusting! 🤮 This employee and mgr. Kevin need to have a little more patience, tolerance, and grace toward...

Greenfield Village is hands-down one of the most memorable family adventures we’ve had! From the moment we walked through the gates, it felt like we were stepping into a living history book — one packed with laughter, learning, and nonstop fun.
Our day kicked off with a ride on the historic 112-year-old carousel, and let me tell you, it’s pure nostalgia! The hand-carved animals and the old-fashioned organ music had everyone smiling — parents included! It was the perfect way to ease into the day.
Next up was the Model T car ride, and the kids were absolutely thrilled to take a spin in a piece of automotive history. Seeing their faces light up as we cruised through the village was priceless — and honestly, it was just as fun for us adults!
We also hopped aboard the steam-powered train, which circles the entire village. It’s a relaxing ride with beautiful views and gives you a great feel for all the amazing things there are to explore.
A major highlight was the historic baseball game, played every Saturday at 1:30 — no gloves, wooden bats, and vintage uniforms! It’s like stepping into a 19th-century ballpark, and the energy from the crowd and players makes it feel like you’re part of something truly special. Don’t forget to bring a blanket and settle in on the grass — it’s a must-see!
And of course, the playground was a huge hit with the kids. After soaking in all the history, they loved having a place to climb, slide, and just be kids. It’s well-designed, safe, and perfect for burning off some extra energy before heading home.
From start to finish, Greenfield Village delivered a perfect mix of fun, learning, and unforgettable moments. It’s the kind of place that brings generations together — and we’re already planning...
Read moreInteresting open air museum with many original historic buildings and reproductions collected on-site, including Washington Carver house, Webster house, Edison's workshops, Heinz house, Wright Brothers house, Robert Frost house, plantation house, boarding house, Lincoln courthouse, Post Office, watch store, millinery store, Bennett jewelry/candy store, Ford's house and many others. Most guides are informative and passionately convey lots of information about the buildings and their associated people. (Some guides were a disappointment as they clearly favored some visitors over others.) The guides' scheduling needs to be revised. We weren't allowed upstairs at the Menlo Park exhibit despite trying multiple times because only one guide was stationed downstairs. The buildings and working farm are well-kept and well-organized. The ticket pricing is problematic. Every single activity is an additional ticket; nothing is all-inclusive geared towards non-member tourists visiting for a day. Train ride - that's extra. Model T ride - that's extra. Carriage ride - that's extra. Carousel ride - that's extra. Coach ride - that's extra. Such nickel-and-diming is bad enough, but the separate ticketing and pricing is also not clearly explained on the website. Given the high ticket price, and the very long distance from one end of the Village to the other, at least the Coach/Bus ride should be included in the ticket price so weary patrons are not forced to trudge back to the entrance past buildings they've already seen. The Village museum concept is good, but the execution needs to take tourists into account in addition to members. Overall, recommended, but with...
