This shop is conveniently close to home, has a solid inventory, fair prices, and overall good service. That said, I’m currently smoking a Padron 80th Anniversary — a $40 cigar — and the draw is way off. That’s rare for Padron, and it’s disappointing. The issue seems to be over-humidification, likely because the humidor was just restocked and the shop recently relocated. I get it — growing pains happen — but at this price point, a premium cigar should be ready to smoke perfectly right off the shelf.
I spend $200–$300 a month on cigars, and until the humidity is dialed in here, I’ll be making the drive to Ferndale to visit my guy Ronnie.
