Tanya's Alterations — Local services in Deerfield Township

Very disappointed with my recent experience at Tanya’s Alterations. I used to take all of my clothing here to be tailored, but the quality of work here has changed. I had two issues recently - one where a pair of jeans was hemmed where one side was longer than the other. Most recently, I bought in a brand new dress (with the tags still on) to be taken in on the sides. When I got the dress back, it had white discoloration all around the waist area where the dress was taken in. I sent Tanya photos, my receipts, described the damage, went back into the shop to show her in person, and she refused to rectify it. I have now paid $150 for a dress plus $30 in tailoring that cannot be worn because of the damage her shop caused. Like I said, they used to be reliable, but not anymore. I needed a few formal outfits altered, and within a relatively short amount of time. The outfits are Indian suits, which have a high level of intricate details, and can be very challenging to alter. Tanya was able to perfectly alter all of the suits by the time I needed them. It was also prom season, so I know she & her team were very busy. When I went to pick up the outfits, I was in a hurry and didn't have time to try them on there. I took them home, and they were all PERFECT! Walked in off the street with a heavy duty tactical belt that the Velcro patch was worn out on out rather than sending back I thought I'd try this place to save the hassle and time... the woman said it would be 6$ and to come in tom and pick it up... explained it's the belt I'm wearing and don't have another offered 20$ to have it done right away she took it had it fixed immediately and then only would take the 6$ awesome...
