Well let me begin by saying I was a member at the Geneva location happily for around a year. I had to move unexpectedly to DeKalb and was excited to hear they had a location there as well. I got so comfortable with the Geneva location and the members were all super nice and awesome. I went for my first time to Dekalb location and of course a different layout to be expected. The free weights area seems very confined and congested and the overall layout I found definitely not as nice as Geneva. Seemed like a younger crowd too than Geneva for sure. The men's locker room with the steam room and showers and spa stuff was SO much nicer laid out in Geneva than Kishwaukee location it was integrated into the locker room there. Dekalb it's all separated and even in the hot tub and steam etc they say you must wear a bathing suit?! What's with that we are grown men why would u have to wear clothes in a hot tub in a locker room another negative about Dekalb location Geneva was super chill and relaxed and way classier nicer feel to it. That whole locker room comparison was the most disappointing in the entire experience. They need to take some pointers from Geneva 100%.

Been here for over a year and its always been kept clean and tidy. Gym is rarely filled to the point where you need to wait for equipment. All equipment is cleaned and ready to use, never had a bad experience here. Pre covid-19 the steamrooms and saunas were always well kept and ready to use at a moments notice. They scan your temperature every entry & require a mask to enter the building and common area. Many treadmills, pull and pull equipment, and benches. Also have the misc equipment such as kettlebells & free weight dumbbells up to 110 lbs i believe . Basketball court has a pickelball net and equipment & is well maintained and in good condition aswell. Not to mention the staff is very nice and welcoming. I've also been offered a spot by one of them aswell. Definitely worth the money you're paying to come here, even just for the simple workouts , its not like LA fitness where you have to wait for a bench and whatnot. Edit: been here for over 2 years almost 3, and it's been wonderful. Only downside is that it gets busy here around 4/5pm, but the people aren't on the machine/bench for usually mire 30...

Got an email about $30 off. Looked all over website for pricing. Nothing, but asked me to send a message. I did. Realizing now, it was just to blow up my email. I went to Geneva, as a guest, for week. I looked all over website for pricing. NO membership fees posted... So, I call. I asked the woman on the phone to give me a base price. She said that she can not. That I have to speak to someone in memberships. I said, "For a basic price? Ok." Right in to voicemail I go. I called back. I said, "I am working, I just need to know how much a basic membership is and you transferred me directly into a voicemail. That is absolutely unprofessional." Her response, "They are working too & will call you back." Enough said. I will not jump over one more hurdle over basic info. To be honest, I am happy I came to the reviews here and I will stick with my plan, now, to not join. Thank you for saving me a bunch of hassles, frustrations and unprofessionalism. I would rather go to Geneva, which mind you, is stellar perfection, both...
