So I would not recommend buying anything from this store. First of all, the woman that speaks with you is extremely rude. (possibly the owner's wife). and Greg is argumenitive. their customer service skills are way below expectation for the Badcock name. Really my wife purchased a chair that had broke in a couple of months which we had a warranty for and had got another chair that we had to go retrieve after paying the what seemed to be exploited delivery fee. but ok whatever. then after a few months, the second chair stopped working. they sent delivery drivers out to inspect. unknown what their level of training in furniture repair or furniture building is. who also had nothing good to say about their own company. If I could give a negative star rating for the customer service rating I would. then they want to blame everything on us for mopping our floor. they stated it got wet and burned up the power module or something. and I am assuming in some fine print it says not covered. this was somewhere around a thousand dollar chair. that is inoperable. so my suggestion is don't buy from them. 2 don't pay extra for the warranty. and don't try to communicate because the customer is wrong. then I was threatened if I posted this feedback (my freedom of speech)that they would not look into the part. then had the nerve to ask why I was even speaking if the account was my wife's. (because she is timid and taken advantage of) you would be better off buying a $200 chair from Walmart.. just glad I learned this before purchasing the bedroom set I was planning on. buyer beware!!! this is my honest opinion. So I am reading through my protect it plan we purchased and states. All repairs and service will be conducted by an authorized service tech.well a delivery driver showed up and made the assumption of what's wrong. I am contacting the protection plan myself will keep you updated.
Next step if not resolved is contact BBB.
UPDATE so i contacted the main office and they advised me i was still under my 1 year factory warranty and would call the local store which she did while i was on hold and advised me that the store had ordered the parts on saturday.still have not heard from them since.
Second update So after speaking with corporate office they had contacted the local store and said the chair would be fixed and that the parts were ordered after waiting a few weeks contacted them again and they said it could be months and months for the parts to come then within a couple of days they called and set up a time to come out and fix the chair the date was scheduled for the 26 between 1030 and 12 however it's on me that I had to go to the hospital and have some treatment done due to just being discharged after 6 days. The owner Greg and his wife were very nasty about it apology I apologized for not have being there and asked to reschedule they initially said absolutely not they were not rescheduling they were going to lead the parts on the front porch and I guess that meant I could do with it what I wanted. Had to call corporate again and they set up a date March 12 for them to come back out and fix the chair I am at my wits end with the amount or inadequate customer service skills from this badcock store I am now going to contact the Better Business Bureau because they have no sympathy or no compassion for somebody who is dealing with a 29 year old daughter who's fighting and battling cancer and 83 Father who is also dying of lung cancer in happens to have to have medical treatment I admit it was my mistake I forgot to put in my calendar and I apologized.
