The minute my installers walked in the door they set the bar very low. The excuses started right away. They didn't have the tools they needed, only worked 2 hours a day and complained about their job the entire time. I had to take time off work and then they wouldn't show up. I lived in a 5' x 5' space for 10 days. They treated my house like it was someone else's workshop. They piled my trim work on the garage floor in a pile with my closet doors. My doors are uneven because they had to lower 1 but left the others alone. My room doors are rounded off on the corners because they must of got in the way. I requested a QC guy to come out and look at the damage and all he did was make excuses for them and complain that it's roo hard to find tradesman right now. The qc guy spent a 1/2 hour filling in the scratches on my trim then left but left me his markers to finish up the rest of the house. I complained and they wanted to send him back to take another look. I decided to pay in full and chalk it up to lesson learned. Never again. My neighbors used a competitor and I saw how a professional job can be done. The 3rd party installers also tried to drum up some additional work which didn't need to be done. I was told these guys no longer work for them and 3 days later seen them installing a neighbor around the block. Like I said never again, my sheetrock and trim can't take anymore damage. They're in it for the profit and not the reputation...
Read moreThis review has been a long time coming. We’ve used Thornton for a few projects in the past, but I’ve failed to leave a review. They recently assisted us with two projects: changing out carpet in two upstairs bedrooms as well as our quartz countertops. James and Nick are the “dynamic duo”. They are the Batman and Robin, the Butch Cassidy and Sundance kid, the Riggs and Murtaugh of Thornton (they can fight over who’s who 👀🤪)
James first assisted me in choosing a new, premium carpet that met my super-picky standards for our two upstairs bedrooms. I was so impressed with the time he spent helping me choose the perfect carpet, we decided to head back and check out their countertop selection. That process certainly wasn’t easy for them as I went back and forth way too many times and quite possibly drove both he and Nick crazy in the process. Between the numerous emails and phone calls, from choosing the most stunning countertop to compliment our kitchen, to coordinating the installation with their installer, my husband and I were thrilled with the final result. We love our new kitchen and everyone that sees it loves it as well.
Thank you both, James and Nick, for working with us and ensuring a hassle free (and mostly stress free...
Read moreWe chose Thornton flooring after a fantastic initial visit with Lauryn who spent time walking us through all of our options and pricing out our choices. We never felt pressured to spend more or to go with something other than what we wanted. We brought our little boy with us and Lauryn was so patient with him as well. Upon installation we learned our padding had sold out, so Thornton worked with us to get a comparable pad. We were also pushed back one day, but our hardwood floor got put in on that first day. Thornton instantly worked out another carpeting team to come install on the very next day and the team did amazing work and had the whole basement done in one day!
There are always things that go wrong and somewhere along the way our garage freezer had been unplugged and never plugged in again. We ended up losing some meat and mentioned it to the people at Thornton. They offered payment to replace what was lost with absolutely no argument.
We would highly recommend Thornton Flooring to anyone looking for flooring. The selection is fantastic, the customer service can't be beat, and they appear to truly care about their customers. When we refinish our upstairs flooring we know we will be back.
Thank you,...
