Impression: What stood out to me when I was searching for an apartment in the area was their professionalism. I wasnât pressured to sign that very day, wasnât rushed, and when I spoke with Tammy, I felt like there was no need for her to encourage me to sign that day because she was confident that people would want to sign a lease at RGV, even if it wasnât me.
Any apartment with the basic necessities and that is within a personâs budget can do, but itâs the people and the leasing office that I believe can make or break your living experience there. No place is perfect, but with the right people, potential concerns can be resolved amicably and quickly. My first impression and subsequent interactions with Tammy and Jessica signaled to me that they are trustworthy and work with integrity.
Experience: Iâve moved multiple times in the last couple of years for my education, and from my experiences, they go above and beyond what I expected from any property management. If you have any issues or questions, you are free to go up to the office to have it clarified and sorted out. Due to some logistics from implementing a new service (not the towing company) I had some duplicate charges that I needed to correct. Tammy sat with me for almost 2 hours until my problem was resolved while I explained and presented the charges on my ledger. She also helped me with moving my heavy boxes when I was moving out (IN HEELS from the 3rd floor) when she didnât need to. Jessica has helped me with my ledger and submitted a ticket to the main company management to help get my deposit back (a unique circumstance, and this isnât the norm), even after I moved out. They maintain constant communication and donât leave you high and dry.
Towing: Regarding the review on towing issues. This was a policy they newly implemented because people were parking in covered parking that residents paid for. In addition, this also helped to uphold their visitor policies in the lease. As such, everyone needed to register their vehicle. Constant letters are sent out to everyoneâs door to make sure your information is accurate. This towing company is a third-party company, and I doubt they have access to the records of who was towed and who was not.
I will say if you are worried about towing, I have seen the tow trucks come at 3-4 am. You never know when they will come.
Just as the leasing office has responsibilities to uphold a proper living environment for their tenants, residents also have their responsibilities.
TLDR; The people here go above and beyond what I expect. They are willing to work with you and are responsive to calls and maintenance requests. They are trustworthy, hardworking individuals who work with integrity and respect. Living there is peaceful, and the amenities are good. I would have renewed my lease if my circumstances allowed it. Living here has raised my expectations of what property managers are capable of.
For future students or employees at TMC, itâs just a 5 minute drive away from getting into your car to parking in the parking lot...
Read moreThe place is nice, but this is just flat out robbery. Warrior didn't do ANYTHING but move a car less than 30 minutes ago and say "That's $350" when I can tow a car from Denison to Dallas for LESS! And nobody even gives a rats bum to help or do anything about it. This policy is WAY over the top. DO NOT RENT CARS. GET AN E-RECEIPT THAT YOU REGISTERED THE VEHICLE EVEN IF IT'S FOR 5 MINUTES! This is a joke, I am very unhappy with this place as of this moment. $350 is a SCAM !
I stopped (am not staying the night, have to leave for work) in a RENTAL VEHICLE to grab some things for the night as my vehicle is in the shop and my girlfriend's sister just had a baby. My rental car is gone. I rented it for a WEEK and it cost me less than it is to get it back 30 minutes after I Got home. I have not been here long, and I am not staying long either.
Any REASONABLE HUMAN BEING can agree that that's BS.
If you so much as stop at home in a car that is rented, within 30 minutes these guys will have their "Towing Company" (Warrior Towing) charge you OVER $300 TO GET YOUR CAR BACK
They either need a new towing company, or a better system in place. Or at the very least check how long a car has been sitting before moving it, perhaps it's a resident just stopping at home quick in a car that's not theirs. You know, general human courtesy would be nice when it comes to robbing people. My rent is 1/5 of the towing fee for stopping at home for 30 minutes. WHERE I LIVE.
Watch them come in with some company policy response and "We send out mass emails" yes I know and I literally just came home to grab some stuff to head back out I should NOT have to go through this. NOBODY Should. I see these "replies" on other reviews and it's like you people don't even give a damn. I am looking forward to finishing out my lease. This should be illegal. It's extortion at those rates. The "IMPOUND" is less than 10 miles from here. $350. HA! You got to be kidding me.
This reminds me of the old McDonalds story. They would have employees stake out cars that come in, as soon as someone steps away, call their partnered "tow company" to come get it, then take a cut off the top. At the rate of $350 how could they not be? Or why would they intentionally put their residents through this crap if it wasn't profitable to them? They say they do not, but I do not believe them ONE bit...
Read moreIâm finishing out my second lease with this place and I have to report I do not recommend living here unless you like having your car towed. I registered my vehicle with this new towing company like they requested a year ago and I mustâve typed a 9 instead of a 6 because I wrote it in my notes wrong and this morning they towed my vehicle because of it. I called the towing company and you have to wait an hour or more to get your car released once itâs towed, not to mention the $350 I have to pay! All because no one called me or emailed me to warn me, thatâs dishonest and corrupt! I understand you want to enforce parking for the people who do not follow the rules, but I shouldnât have to pay an unnecessary penalty for making a simple error! The leasing office couldâve verified my license plate number from what I inputted on the lease when I registered with warrior towing! The leasing office couldâve notified me before towing just in case an error had been made! Instead I have to pay $350 and use up 25 minutes waiting on a Lyft ride, 20 minutes for the drive to the towing yard, and an hour and a half waiting on some guy to release my vehicle! No donât lease here because they choose to partner with corrupt towing companies! Iâve spoken to 2 other neighbors that feel the same way, but there are probably more!
Update: The response given to this review must be AI generated since I spoke to the leasing office many times yesterday about this and they were not eager to review their policies or make sure my voice is heard. Instead, I did not get even an apology and was told multiple times that this...
