Never again.... First off let me say, The care and service received at the Anna ER was beyond amazing... On Sunday 7/20 patient arrives at ER around 1 in the afternoon. I (caretaker) arrived at approxamtly 9 pm. When I arrived at the ER clinic patient was waiting for an ambulance to be admitted to Texhoma Hospital. I advised I wanted patient transported to Baylor in Mckinney, the care and service in my experience there is exceptional and this patient is sick, sick. Speaking with her nurse at the ER she assured me the care she received would be the same she was receiving at the ER, I hesitantly agreed. Worst decision ever... Admitted on Sunday around 9 pm, Monday 07/21/25 morning patient was yelled at and made to feel uncomfortable by food service worker for having crackers and drinks on her table(ie... Where am I supposed to put this tray, Why do you all put this stuff on your table, I hate this) obviously not starting off well. 😕 Food service worker than proceeded to throw all the crackers and juices in the trash, leaving nothing for the patient who could barely hold anything down and is to weak to protest. When I arrived at 7 pm that night patient was and had been sitting in her own excrement for 30 plus minutes after having been given laxatives and had notified by the intercom in her room that she needed to use the bathroom. After I cleaned her up, I tried to talk to the nurse about what medications she had been given, and was told that she really wasn't sure she had just come on shift. Say what? She was borderline rude as well. Susan I believe was her name. She has not received her psych meds at all yet during her stay and was advised she could not keep her own medication at the hospital. Finally about 9 pm after I had showed up and started taking over her care, things began to happen, she was given another IV, intravenous meds, and by the way had not eaten any of the food trays as she couldn't hold it down. She had one warm glass of water no refills had been made to her water pitcher sense I filled it up the night before. None of her crackers or juice had been replaced and patient still so sick she could not interact well with staff verbally. I know when I get there tonight she had better be in better shape then when I left at 10 pm last night or I will be filei g a formal complaint. This lady is the sweetest kindest lady ever. As I said...
Read moreI used to consider this a good hospital. I guess in some ways its still good in other ways it isn't. I mean the floor care was exceptional, food wasn't bad, patient care techs were above average so why 2 stars and this complaint?
I received a letter from TexomaCare General surgery saying essentially, Don't come back! It was a you've been asked to not come back due to medical non-compliance. I'm scratching my head trying to figure out what this means and why. The best I can tell is the General surgeon doesn't like me for whatever reason. Let's see, on my last trip there they cancelled my surgery for because the assistant started thinking false things and said everything was getting out of hand (Or something like that). And that I would need to reschedule. I didn't do that, instead I contacted someone else and had the procedure done. Because I didn't call them to report this in a timely manor I get asked to not come back? WOW!
They (TMC Denison) did give me a specialist Doctor while I was admitted who I saw externally for a short while and who I didn't particularly care for. I did replace him with someone else, someone I really like and get along with. Maybe that had something to do with it? Its my choice who I see and where I go for treatment and for that matter what treatment options I choose. This shouldn't even be an issue. Well with TexomaCare and TMC I guess it is. Before the pandemic this hospital was better. Now? its a bunch of pissed off, selfish, arrogant physicians all squabbling for your insurance money. I won't come back for anything. I'll be filing a complaint with the Texas Medical Board as well.
If you need stitches or a bone set. Maybe a little antivenom for a snake bite. X-rays or a CT scan .... TMC isn't a bad choice I guess. But beyond that, get into the Dallas or OKC area for real care from a REAL Medical facility with REAL Physicians who REALLY care about you. TMC Doctors...
Read moreTMC did a pelvic scan on me after a severe auto collision along with my wife, even though my pain was in my mid back and chest. After being discharged, I was driven by a friend to medical city Plano ER, where my wife had been transferred. My pain had not reduced, which prompted them to admit me and ct scan my chest. Medical City ER found 6 broken ribs and a fractured vertebrae. The doc just shook his head when I told him TMC had done a pelvic scan which predictably came back negative since the pain was in the chest.
A Doc at TMC advised my 88 year old mother to have a pacemaker implanted. I got a second opinion for her through a cardiologist at Baylor/Dallas. Eight years later, she's still on an antiarrhythmic prescription thanks to Baylor for being competent and honest. TMC would have performed an invasive procedure completely unwarranted and costly.
My father was diagnosed with bladder cancer by an oncologist next to TMC. He was treated with uranium pellets and had his bladder scraped. They said they got it all. No ct scans or blood test for followup for the next year resulted in the cancer coming back and taking over his body, unhindered, unchecked. The powers that be saw they had x amount of insurance funds to work with and kept him alive at TMC for another year in a certain slow death/living hell, mostly in-patient with massive bed sores. My father mercifully died within 48 hours after the insurance ran out.
I realize some people don't have the option, especially in an emergency, but if your situation is anything beyond minor, please research a major hospital in Dallas, OKC or Tulsa. "A hospital is a hospital" mentality is...
