i brought my brand-new-to-yoga partner to class at this studio while we were visiting my parents, and mistakenly thought we were attending a free c1-level class (i had the wrong studio...oops). the two staff members at the front desk immediately relieved me of my embarrassment of showing up at the wrong studio ("you're the 4th person today!"), and let us know there was a c2 class in a few minutes that we could take. i love c2, but was apprehensive about this being my partner's first-ever yoga experience - it's too hot! there's less detailed cuing/instruction for the postures! he'll be dizzy and confused and frustrated!thankfully, the staff made us both feel welcome and prepared as we headed into class, towels in tow. the teacher (whose name i forget because i'm the worst... he is a dude with brown hair and two half-sleeve tattoos) made a point to check in on my partner a few times during class and gave him a few adjustments for safety and comfort. it was really impressed that he could cater to a specific need for one student while still keeping the class at the level that frequent c2-goers would expect. thank you to the cherry hills team for helping to quell a newcomer's apprehension, and for making the situation accessible and welcoming despite initial obstacles! i don't live in denver, but this is the studio i visit when i'm in town...and i'll...
Read moreBEWARE as there are a lot of car break-ins at this location AND Core Power is aware of this issue. They have done NOTHING about it, but add one camera inside the studio. I went to a 7:45am yoga class, walked out and my car had and two other cars were broken in to. Waited until 12:00 pm for police to arrive that day. CP response was that, âYou live in a big city and should be used to crime.â After being a member for 10 years they refunded me only half my membership for that month (after arguing with them) and cancelled my membership immediately. It seemed like I was more of a headache to them instead of standing by their mission of, âCommunity. We unite with open hearts and inspire real connections, in the spirit of service, to encourage everyone to thrive.â After being a loyal member for over 10 years, they really do not care. I was just a number to them. I have since started going to a new yoga studio where the owners really do treat their members like a community and are very caring, inspiring, and thoughtful. Support local yoga studios and NOT corporate ones like CP where you are...
Read moreThe yoga here is quite good. Most of the teachers are well trained and lead a good workout. However, I would suggest not using the app for check in and reservation. Sometimes, a class wonât be heldâŚespecially on days of inclement weather. I just had a conversation with the manger in an attempt to have one of those classes refunded, but he insisted that the class actually had been held (even though the door was locked, there was no one at reception, and no students arrived). To avoid any questions about who is telling the truth in these circumstances, I suggest avoiding the issue at all and just checking in when you see someone...
