Mail delivery from here is very unreliable. Carriers deliver to wrong address, lose mail, deliver wrong packages. Mark items delivered that are not, make it nearly impossible to call and talk to someone, and the list goes on. If you want something delivered to a specific place at a promised time, use a different place!
Update: Issues continue, carriers just mark packages as no access avail to avoid having to go on a Sunday, put mail in wrong boxes, deliver to wrong door. My location is very accessible and clearly marked, so it's hard to understand why promised deliveries are not made!?! If at all possible, use UPS or FedEx when you need something delivered as promised.
Update: As usual, tracked items are marked as delivered, even though they are delivered to the wrong box. USPS replies with "Based on our records the geolocation data associated with this package indicates that it was delivered to the intended address" If that were true then the package would be in my mailbox. I wonder if they mis-deliver about 20% of the items I know are coming, how many mail pieces that are not tracked/expected are missing?!?!
Update July 2022: Mail not delivered, marked as delivered. File a case for missing mail and the response says they did not have a place to leave it? What is wrong with leaving it at the residence??? They close the case without resolution from the customer, mark it closed, and then ignore any further communication on the case! There is not a way to respond to the person who closed your case!!! A phone call to the branch revealed (after a horrible automated screening process to get to a person that has trouble with English) that they can't deliver media mail to the mailbox, nor are they allowed to deliver it to a door?!?! So they are are telling me they only deliver small envelopes, when it's convenient, and even then can't guarantee that it will be placed in the right mail box... If the mail or package can't be delivered for some reason why not leave a notice with the reason and how the package will make it's way to me as promised (contracted) by the USPS? Why is it marked as delivered and forgotten?
Update: Oct 2022 Package marked as delivered to parcel locker, but no key in mailbox! Assuming that carrier put put key in wrong box again, tracking shows delivered but package was NOT delivered to my mailbox as contracted. The boxes are clearly marked so why do the carriers have trouble matching numbers? For example, package for unit "A" should go to mailbox marked unit "A". Now for the real advanced challenge: Package for unit "A" placed in parcel locker, then key for that parcel locker should go in mailbox for unit "A". Am I missing something here? I can understand an occasional(once every few years) mix-up, but a consistent 40% of the time not delivering correctly?!? What is going on with package delivery by this post office to my location????????
Avoid this post office if possible! USPS: Change your slogan to "We don't care if it gets delivered or not."
Update January 2023: Another package that shows out for delivery but not delivered. Now tracking says it was not delivered due to bad weather. Apparently 60F, sunny, clear road and sidewalks is bad weather for delivery? Is it too much to ask for a delivery to be completed, even it means the driver has to get out of their truck and walk to the door? Are delivery drivers that lazy? All the other people in the delivery chain from the retailer to the final destination do their job to get the package here, and then the final person just doesn't feel like making the effort so the whole process fails. Unfortunately many services and industries seem to feel that making any effort to do their job is too much to ask, so poor performance and bad customer service is becoming the norm, rather than the...
Read moreFirst I feel like they are very slow and don't want to help the customer at all in general. Second anytime I'm having issues with mail not being delivered i ask them to check for undelivered mail in the back and i get nasty mean attitude from anybody i speak to (all though I explain to them that i haven't received ANY mail at all for a month- i feel like they refuse to look in the back for it and insist its on the mail carrier's truck) they are the worst, most nasty, extremely rude group of people in the business and all of them should be fired and replaced with people who actually want to do their job, i can't wait to change my address so hopefully i don't have to deal with them ever again because they are so disrespectful (lord forbid they actually look in the back for my mail when i have not received any in a month and I'm not on vacation or have not moved-it's just simply not getting delivered to my address) and no matter how many ways i explain it to them they still will check. Last time when i called the lady who answered the phone asked me very rudely "why would we have your mail?" First of all that's just unprofessional to argue with your customer and be rude about it, when i went into the place they were not very busy at all but i felt like the 3 people up front wanted to take a break after each customer because they would dissappear after each said customer for more than 10 minutes at a time, when i arrived i was 4th in line and it took over a half hour to be seen, truly unacceptable by any means. It's the worst post office i ever encountered, i hope it gets shut down soon and for good those people should not be allowed to handle or mail at all. Trained monkeys would do a better job. While in there i seen 1 man walk in the back and move very very slow as if he didn't want to work and was using this as an excuse to not have any interaction with customers, he was slower than molasses, and seemed to be avoiding all of us up front who needed assistance. I've personally never had a good experience here and when i said to the customer beside me in line "this place is terrible, the absolute worst!" He wholeheartedly agreed with me and we exchanged war story's about the Ed Sullivan post office. They have the most negative reputation in the business, unreliable, unprofessional, they will lose your mail, won't check for it in the back, mean nasty attitude by everyone who works there, they're truly dispicable, and disrespectful, they don't want to work or handle mail nor deal with a customer, no customer service skills at all, the pave need to be shut down. They...
Read moreI had a long and arduous time here just recently. A package was coming for me from Japan, I had been closely watching it's progress online and when it reached Denver it was flagged as 'address unknown return to sender.' I called this post office as soon as it opened asking if there was a way for me to intercept the package to put the correct street address on it, after all, I understand that addresses in Japan are written very differently, so it must have been a simple mistake on the senders part. I was told that they would look for the package and call me back. About 5-10 minutes later, they called and said that unfortunately it had already been put on the return truck the night previous, there was nothing they could do to retrieve it. That, I was fine with, I understood that there was no getting the package now, it would just need to get back to the sender to be corrected. The next day I checked back in on the tracker to see if it had made it out to Los Angeles. To my surprise the package had been scanned again in Denver! This time labeled as 'in retention.' I was so excited! Someone, somewhere had put my package aside! I went straight to this post office as soon as it opened, however, when I spoke with the clerk, Eloise, she refused to look for it, wouldn't even ask for my tracking number, name, or anything. She told me it wasn't here. I brought up the tracker on my phone and showed Eloise that the scan said 'in retention' at this post office. No, no, no, that was wrong, the package is not here. Eloise said all this to me, not once offering to check or asking me any details. I was very upset, I asked if there was any other post office I could talk to about this, she gave me the 800 number for the US Postal Service. So I left and I called. The lady on the phone was extremely nice, apologized and told me that yes, this package was in fact at this location and had even had a delivery attempt marked on it. Thankfully I was able to finally get this package after confirming it with the 800 service. Another thing that bothers me though, the address that the Japanese sender had marked was crystal clear 100% correct, so I have no idea how it got marked 'address unkown.' Looking at other reviews, this seems to be a common occurrence at this location. If you must use this location, proceed with caution and don't believe what they tell you if it contradicts any information you have via tracking service. I sincerely hope that they improve eventually and whatever causes all these issues...
