Camp SAM — Local services in Deptford Township

My 4 and 6 year old girls attended Camp Sam last summer for the first time and absolutely loved it!! They would wake up so excited to go and cry on mornings they weren't. Every day was full of exciting activities...weekly themes, DJ pool parties, Talent shows, daily swimming and a few field trips including trampoline park, movies and bowling. The Camp counselors were so involved with the kids I had no worries dropping my girls off knowing they were in great hands. Camp Sam provides daily lunch and snacks to the kids too making it easy for parents only having to send kids in with a refillable water bottle. The kids were exposed to so many different weekly sports and activities and learned so many new things! Every time we drive past Rastelli's now the kids scream "there's Camp, there's Camp" and can not wait to go back this summer!!! We will be returning Campers for...

My daughter was excited to attend camp 2 days each week. When I picked her up each time she was always so happy, sweaty, and a little dirty, which I LOVE. That told me she did A lot and got involved! Her counselors were polite and nice. As for emailing the camp director or just to send a simple email with a simple question, was rough. You don't get a prompt response or even no response. I even had spoken to people at the front desk, who took my name and number and still no emails or calls to me. I made my voice heard the 1 time about a schedule change and then they finally did get back to me. So, this is my only complaint. My son had an amazing time and loved his first summer at Camp Sam. He has spoken so highly of the staff, even saying he wants to be a lifeguard and a counselor when he is a big kid. BIG shoutout to Miss Elena for her wonderful work with my kiddo- she is so patient, positive, and motivating.

From a parent standpoint, we really appreciated the daily progress notes and the easy communication with the director whenever we had a question or an extra need. Being able to follow along with fun social media was an added bonus and helped us feel included in our son’s day.
