First of all, from check in to when I was called was incredibly fast!
My most important feedback though is that Mackenzie was an AMAZING Phlebotomist. I expressed my extreme anxiety to her, as in the past no one has EVER been able to successfully get a vein on the first try. I also expressed that I would pass out if she had to dig for the vein. She did an awesome job calming me down, and then she spent a good amount of time on each arm palpating for a vein. She told me my veins are deep which helped me understand better why nurses and techs have such trouble getting my veins. She found a vein, quietly prepped my arm and adequately warned me about a little pinch...that I didn't even feel!
She got my vein on the first try, I didn't feel it at all and in less than 30 seconds it was done. I was ecstatic and so grateful that she made it so easy and calming for me.
I seriously told probably 10 different people about the experience, and recommended this Quest Diagnositcs, when I left because I put off this blood work for 3 months out of sheer panic, and Mackenzie has definitely restored a good amount of trust in phlebotomists for me.

Read moreI attempted to get bloodwork ordered by my doctor. When the tech asked if I had fasted I said no. I had done this test annually for many years and I rarely fast. I know that the results my not be as accurate, but that was my decision. So the tech picked up the phone, called my doctor and the doctor naturally recommended fasting and the tech refused to do the test. Well, if you're fasting then you better book your appointment way in advance because all of the early appoints are already booked. The standby option at the kiosk is a joke.
