Five Guys — Restaurant in Derry

We got here and ordered around 9:35 pm. So I understand its late. But the condition of behind the counter food prep area is absolutely nasty. The milkshake machine was covered in ice cream. It was all over the floor too. There is napkins and paper all over the floor behind the register. The grill had nothing on it and it was smoking a lot. French fries all over the floor and smushed. The burger prep station where the add the toppings is covered in toppings.

Overall impression is terrible. I get they might have been short staffed. Totally understand. But if I had another burger place near by to go to I would never come back here. And I used to frequently eat here. I love Five Guys. But this is...

I have gone to the Derry location for years and have always had a good experience. Last night (9/8/20) I placed an order online and I accidentally sent it to the Manchester location without knowing. I waited for a while and the manager on duty recognized I didn’t have an order placed with them. We figured out what happened and he was able to fix the problem and get me the food without any issue. I should add that this was all during a big rush of orders that the staff handled very well. I am impressed and thankful for how things were handled. A little pricy for burgers, their fries tend to be kind of greasy. But the burgers taste great, and are made while you watch the open kitchen. There are a wide variety of things to put on your burger, of course, and portions are generous on both fries and burgers. The staff are friendly and quick, the establishment is clean, and the parking for the location easy to deal with.
