My favorite spot in Iowa!! they stayyy with the heat šŸ˜ and AMAZING PRICES!!!#foryoupage #thrifting #viralvideo #thrifthaul #fyp #iowa

Get there within 10 minutes of opening, and stick around for about 45 minutes while they are loading the shelves. Things get pretty well picked over as the day progresses. There can be long wait at the checkout, but a little patience and time management will make it all worthwhile. Finally, beware of cursed objects. While at the DAV and Goodwill outlet stores, I often hide rare germs. They are also a dumping ground of the Damned Congregation of the Digital Warlord’s tainted tchotchke. These tainted knickknacks can be identified by their catfish-bait smell and their slightly off appearances/expressions. More often than not, the figurines will be missing a hand or finger. If purchased, they can bring weeks to months of bad luck, but they eventually return to the congregation member who tried to dispose of their guilty token. Professional thrift store explorers can be identified by their use of gloves, which they hope will protect them from the bad juju.

This is my favorite thrift store!! Very helpful and caring. So dedicated to the veterans and know customers by name. Really enjoy the historical veteran memorial wall with photos and artifacts. Everyone works really diligently to keep the store organized and clean. Thank you for all you do for veterans and the community. You help alot of people.

I have done to this store at least a dozen times with my small little e-bike it's so small it's rated as a walking cool according to the manual which I showed the manager my bike is much smaller than the shopping carts that people are pushing around they even allow children forced the carts around which I think is very dangerous I am a 42 year old man who doesn't want my only mode transportation stolen from me today one of the employees from the back not even a front working employee said that I couldn't bring it in. This child size ebike has little itty-bitty 10 inch tires and you can lift it with one hand is a very light it's meant to be late so that it can fit anywhere such as a trunk of a car people are allowed to take it into office buildings because that's what it's used for his transportation downtown area or in the city where people have to park away from where they work I really got the feeling that this particular employee was just power tripping over me because perhaps he doesn't get much respect at home the girls at the front counter didn't even have an issue with it until he decided to have one.. I take it inside at any other store around my neighborhood even the gas station no one has a problem with it except for this one back working employee......

Like many thrift shops during this time. Many items have stayed on the shelves. I suggest that changing the idea that these different locations are going to di business differently. Covid19 has effected even the way thift shops operate. It just isnt cost effective to accept new items. Make sure they are sanitized and warehoused for 14 business days. Items are being left on shelves in hopes someone will pur hasrcthem to make way for the items that literally sit in que. I not only purchase but donate. I have bee turned away due to the lask of storage space. I requested to speak to the one in charge of the new procedures. I was turned down. Thi king if more peopme who purchase and those who donate ask why old merchandise is left unpurchased? This is cutting into their sales and then contributing to the lack if employees currently being able to work full time. The state may understand the emergency to make all areas safe for its citizen's but giving out demands of upheaval in our small business processes without offering solutions discourages me and others to support our...

Love the selection of clothing and also great they put out so much new stuff every day. Prices are also very good. The reason for only two stars is because of the employees. Many have mentioned it and I will second that. Downright rude. When new clothing gets brought out onto the floor I don’t feel it’s appropriate to be scolded multiple times by an employee that I’m not allowed to look through it. I totally understand if I’m taking stuff off the rack, putting it in different places and really messing up what they’re trying to do. In no way was I even near the person putting the stuff out on to the racks but she felt compelled to berate me not to touch that clothing. If you don’t want people to do that, don’t roll the racks out then. Take it from the back room. Apparently the employees who scold people for trying to buy their merchandise are more concerned with a power trip. I hope this is read by someone in charge and they address their employees about this. Or it may be time to get some new employees based on the number of negative reviews about how rude...
