Scared to go back here.
I use to come to the Roxy atleast every month. Sometimes every couple weeks. I really enjoyed the convenience of a local theater. The popcorn is great, except for one time. That one time it was just smaller pieces of popcorn. It felt like they scrapped it off the bottom when they were running low. What really bothers me is that a few times in the past, the screen goes black and there is only audio. It's happened once or twice during a movie. You have to tell them and they'll turn back the film so you can see what you missed. Once or twice is, annoying but I can deal with it. Last time we went to see beauty and the beast, it happened about 6-8 times. They rewound it every time so I did get to see the entire film but that ruined the pace of the movie. I don't like to cause a scene or make anyone feel pressured on the spot so I didn't say anything to anyone until I got home. I wrote them a polite email explaining the fustration of that and told them I didn't need my money back or any compensation, like I heard other's ask for. I just wanted them to acknowledge that was a problem. I never heard back from them. I assume they don't care about me or my feelings. I'm afraid to go back there if they are not going to acknowledge there's a problem. I don't want it to happen again. It's a loss for me because I'll have to travel farther. It's a loss for them because theater is expensive and I easly spend 40 bucks for the two of us. Thanks...
Read moreIt's nice to have a place to go and relax 😌. But I think the seniors should always have the discount on the price on ticket and food. Anytime. Also a certain time on the weekend that the family 👪 can bring there loved ones and not cost a arm and a leg to get them drinks and popcorn. For my family it cost me around 45 to 50 dollars for just tickets then around 16 dollars or more for each person. So for a family 👪 of 5 is over 80 dollars for food. Around 130 dollars for a night out with the family. I now we haven't had one in so long 😩 I couldn't tell you when it was your talking years. And then we live 65 mile away or more so there's 20 dollars on top of the show. And dinner cuz of the drive. $150 plus dinner. Just to do something with the family. That is so wrong. And why family are missing out of the time doing things together like it use to be like when I was a child. They' ve missed out what that means. This generation has lost...
Read moreI purchased tickets for the new avengers movie for my son and I online. I bought them because we knew there would be a long line on opening weekend. I printed out the ticket and drove 45 minutes to the theater ONLY TO WAIT IN LINE FOR 28 minutes to “REDEEM TICKETS”???? The whole point was to NOT wait in line... to make things even worse the lady redeeming tickets was also getting everyone’s concession orders at the same time which took even longer! We arrived early to make sure we got a seat only to walk in as the movie is starting and had to sit in the very front row... we spent 3 hours looking up and side to side (depending on what was going on) six feet from the screen... Horrible experience and whoever had the BRILLIANT idea to offer online tickets only to wait in line when you get there is pure genius and should be teaching at MIT.....(sarcasm of course) Will not be returning to this theater which is a shame cause it’s a nice theater but obviously ran by...
