Rick's used appliances — Local services in Douglasville

My washer broke within 30 days so I called for a warranty repair. They said they had the part in stock. Then several days later said, "No, they don't." They waited another week to order the part. Then they said the seller sent the wrong part, but the seller was going to rush deliver and it would be their Thur. Then Friday. Then Saturday. Then they said the part was delivered and they would be at my house on Monday to install the part. I took the day off Monday and no one came to the house and no one called. Then they admitted the part was never ordered and now say it will be months before the part will be available. They offered a loaner and I said great. I waited and the loaner was never delivered. I waited another day and the loaner was never delivered.

A month later, I still don't have a loaner. I finally took it open myself to order the part. Guess what? Amazon is delivering the part tomorrow. I went a month without a washer because I trutsed Rick and his team to take care of me. I was wrong.

I say this just so you understand who you're dealing with. They take broken machines, fix them and sell them. It's probably gonna break within the first 30 days, but they're never gonna fix it.

You're more likely to have better success buying off of LetGo or FB marketplace. But beware, they sell on fb marketplace also.

They have absolutey no whims or qualms about lying straight to your face over and over. BUYER BEWARE! Take my advice and the the dozens of people before me who reviewed here and stay far, far away from these people.

Small Claims Court...

HUGE MISTAKE! Started off fairly well. Was looking for a used fridge for my basement apt, so really wasn't expecting excellent condition. Great, they have one so I ask Jamie to send pix of inside. Got them and decided to buy over the phone and have delivered so they could pick up old fridge. Was told they deliver up until 9pm and the driver would contact me before arriving. At 945pm, I text Jamie to let her know the guy still hadn't shown up. She text me back to say she was told ALL deliveries had been made. A few minutes later I get another text saying driver couldn't get anyone to come to the door, so he dropped it off in my carport and would return 1st thing to install. I get up and look out and no fridge! Mind you we are now close to 1030pm. Next day, 7am, look and there sits a fridge, squeezed in between my husbands truck and my SUV. I open the doors and was hit with the strongest mold smell ever! I ask my niece to take bleach water and clean. Called the store to find out a time for install and say something about the odor. I was told , THERE WASN'T A SMELL WHEN IT WAS DELIVERED! Are you FN kidding me?! At this point, its nearly 1pm and this dude still hasn't shown up. Call and want my money back. Jamie answers the phone, tells Rick my request, then tells me ok. 2 minutes later, this chick calls me back and says RICK SAYS NO REFUND BECAUSE OF THE SMELL! DANGER-DANGER-DANGER!! Let me start by saying that this appliance store is NOT the same as the All About Appliances located just up the street from him. The 2 guys that work at All About Appliances were so helpful and taking their time to explain the difference between front load washers and top load washers. The difference just walking inside the stores was so different. I felt so out of place at Rick's it was not very well lit, smelled bad ,Appliances were NOT very clean, Parts hanging on the walls and so on. When I walked into the other store located up the street I was welcomed. The place was well lit I could see, no funny smells when I was looking at appliances and also the appliances were CLEAN other than a little dusty but that was probably due to the road work going on outside their front door. Daniel the owner asked me what I was looking for and I explained to him that I was looking for a washer and I asked about front load. He advised me that front load washers are not the most reliable and that a top load washer is so much more reliable and he told me and showed me why the front loaders are not reliable. Being a female that means a lot to me I felt like I was not just another customer that was spending money there. I purchased a Kenmore elite washer from Daniel and have had NO problems what so ever.
