I'd first like to say that though I've been living in Maine for 13 years, I am originally form New Jersey. I have lived in larger cities and up-scale suburban communities with marble-floored grocery stores filled with high-end products and supposed first-rate customer service. Moving to a VERY rural community was one of the most welcomed changes of my life. Why, you ask? Establishments like Will's Shop 'n Save, owned by Will and Melissa Wedge, is a prime example of 'why'. I would've never believed it if you told me the owner of a grocery store would know most of his customers and their kids by name. That he would 'give back' to families in the community and support and promote other businesses. That he would volunteer in and serve other organizations simply because those organizations support the local community in various ways. Read moreThis place is discrimating to people who are not local. They play and mess around during store hours and not care about who sees them doing it. Their employee, Judy is racist and says she doesn't not or want to hear Asian accents! She is also rude, spiteful and have people ahe dont like fired. They are rude to new people who are not born and raised in the area. They give their employees false hope and lies about their performance and then fire them soon after for not being a "Good Fit" Their systems don't work and never properly update anything correctly.

Read moreWill Wedge is the de facto Mayor of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. He knows your name when you walk in the door, and if he doesn't he will find out what it is and remember it. He contributes more to the city than any single individual in the entire area, and is always willing to help a cause or to promote a good deed. The grocery store reflects this kind of personality and commitment to the community. He's never failed to find a specific item if they didn't have it on the shelves, and will work with any customer, at any time, to accommodate their special needs. For a very small, family-owned grocery, the shelves have literally everything that you might like to have at a gourmet meal or just a good camp dinner. No need to go...
