I went in a few weeks ago because I needed to get a needle for my medication. I tell the staff at the front desk that I need a syringe w an 18g needle to draw my medicine as well as a 24 or 25g needle w a luer lock for injection (usually I use 24 but whenever the pharmacy was out they subbed a 25g and it worked no issue). I even brought in the bottle of medication itself so they knew exactly what i was taking. He tells me they don’t make needles that size and that all they have for subq injection is insulin needles and that they should work just fine. Every other time I ran out of needles, other CVS locations would just give me a freebie so I can take my meds but he charged me $7 for a bag of these. I already was late on my dose as I moved to PA just at the start of this month and discovered my needles got lost, so I begrudgingly purchase them, go home, and then notice these are 33g needles. These are wayyyy too small to even draw my medicine as its in castor oil.
I go back and tell the other pharmacist who took over the front desk between my first and second trip the situation and she INSTANTLY gives me the exact needle and syringe I need for free like the other locations always have had. I feel like the first employee either has no idea what their own pharmacy carries or just specifically gave me wrong information. I asked if they could refund me for these useless needles and they agreed and took them back. Looking at my bank statement weeks later though, they NEVER REFUNDED MY PURCHASE! The lady who helped me was excellent but the two men I dealt with the first trip, the front desk pharmacist and someone who I am guessing was higher up (pharmaceutical tech maybe? IDK), were extremely incompetent and rude to me. When I explained why I was back the higher up guy was still there and tried to tell me that its “impossible to inject that medicine subcutaneously, it’s only intramuscular.” I have had this script for 2 years and it always has been subq and always the same sized needles. I knew what I needed. I asked with explicit detail for the exact product needed. It took 2 trips and 3 employees to actually fulfill my request when anywhere else it should have been taken care of in the first trip and not cost a dime. If this is your pharmacy, definitely look into getting your script...
Read moreTonight a prescription was called in by the physician for my husband. After an hr and a half I hadn't heard anything so I called to see if it was ready. Was on hold for 10 minutes and no one answered. I don't live far away so I figured they were just busy and I'd just drive up and check. I work in healthcare,I get it...... When i got there there were 6 employees present. As I waited in line, I realized that no one was even attempting to answer the phones that were ringing the entire time I was there. Got to the front and gave the girl my information. All she could tell me was something 'didn't match'. The incompetence simply went downhill from there. One employee told me nothing matched because "your husband hasn't had anything filled here before." I responded with..."right, but everyone picks up a prescription for the first time everywhere at some point, correct?" He answered "well yes but usually they show up with the prescription. " I informed him it had been called in (by now it had been called in 2hrs previous). Since no one there answers phones, they hadn't bothered to check messages from providers either. I gave them my information for the 7th time, and after another 30 minutes I finally walked out with my prescription. This is the only the second negative review I've written about ANYONE in my near 38 years living. I will be following up with management in some form because its obvious they also don't read the dozens of negative reviews citing the same...
Read moreCan't write another review so I'm going to update this one. .On 3/30/25 the hospital sent a prescription here for my mother. Went to the store and was told to come back in an hour. Went back and was told they didn't have the pills, they expect them on 3/31/25. On 3/31 I called and was told they're still unloading their delivery at 2:30pm. I asked and they aren't able to tell me if it actually came or not! I asked them to call a nearby CVS and see if they have the pills.....they wouldn't do it. So I called another CVS and had to leave a message!!! So, thanks to CVS not keeping stock of the pills, my Mom is doing without as I scramble to get the prescription filled! Unbelievable! If I could give negative stars I would.
If I could give negative stars I would! Worst pharmacy I've visited. Was told my prescription would be ready by 2:30pm and wasn't ready until 3pm. Firing an employee for not getting the Covid shot and this caused issues when a lunatic customer got loud. The people filling the prescriptions got on the case of the person being fired for not stopping the guy. Lots of chatter in the back instead of filling prescriptions. All the comments the people in the pharmacy made to the person getting fired was heard by a lot of customers. Overall, not a pleasant experience! Will NEVER go to this...
