First State Coins — Local services in Dover

I am a fellow business owner that has been in business for almost 20 years dealing in sports cards and collectibles. I have talked with Tim when he bought the shop a few years ago and talked about helping each other out. Whenever I sold out of product that a customer needed immediately I would send them over to first state. I had my feelings that things were only going one way and I found out today I was correct. I not only sent them a $600 customer but Tim refuse to admit that any sale had happened. I send you business and you don't even have the kindness to say thank you or even regard me as a fellow businessman. When I have had theft at my store and I called them to see if they can work with me I am told they do not deal or buy sports cards which is a lie. Very dishonest if they lie to me whom else do...

They are nothing more that a pawn and have no idea of what collectable coins are. As proof of that I went to see the value of some commemorative silver $100 bills. The gentleman had one that he was going to weigh to get a comparison weight and tell me what the silver was worth. That wouldn't have been so bad but the lady in the establishment noticed one if the bills that I btought in an was going to weigh it as well by breaking open the hermetically sealed case. I told her that I'd rather the case not be opened but she still kept trying to open it and then I had to repeat myself in a more stern voice. She looked as though I was giving her attitude and was in the wrong. Unless you're selling precious metals, then I highly recommend one...

I’ve been going to First State Coin to sell old jewelry that belonged to now passed away family & every time I go I’m always appreciative of the staff for taking their time to be thorough of everything I brought in. They’re very kind, professional & knowledgeable. I never felt pressured to sell anything or felt like I was wasting anyone’s time.
