Be careful when parking here...
SueAnn the security guard , aka KAREN, thinks shes the POLICE, is a snoop, trying to get people in trouble when they park there for a few hours.
She thinks it's OK to write your license plates # down and call the police and TRY to get you in trouble and LIE and tell them your plate are expired by 10 years LOL when they obviously are not.
She just can't READ correctly to see Arizona temp plates have the YEAR and make of the vehicle on them , as well as the expiration date, of 2026, maam. Not 2015, that's the year of my Ford Transit 350 twin turbo ecoboost camper van, with a brand new engine ma'am. Dont think a SQUATTER could afford this $50,000+ van Karen....You probably can't either though.
Thanks to Ben the manager though, for giving us permission to stay, we gratedly appreciate him.
But we don't appreciate Karen, calling us SQUATTERS, & LYING to the cops, especially when my camper van, bought & paid off immediately in cash, as well as the brand new engine, hardly a squatter maam. STOP judging Karen. Some of us choose to LOOK DIFFERENT, dress DOWN to avoid attention. We're not all princesses...
We are VANLIFERS. TRAVELERS.
She wasn't ever worried about the security alarm that went off nightly, sometimes for hours at a time, but shes worried about US, parked. Sleeping at that, minding our own business. Smh.
Shame on her.
She is NOT the police. She's a security guard.
She should go work for them, if she wants to try to get innocent people in trouble all day long. (The police didn't even wanna look at our plates when she called them, cuz he knew we did nothing wrong and he didn't care! )
I just want other vanlifers to beware and not have this happen to them.
Getting JUDGED & being called a squatter, was absolutely uncalled for, when none of us did anything wrong while there the few hours....
This situation actually upset my other vanlifer friend so bad, that he couldn't sleep! Poor guy just started vanlifing & now has to worry this is gonna happen to him more than he'd ever have thought sadly.
Karen, go back to your 9-5 security guard job, and leave innocent people alone.
And STOP judging others.
That's NOT your job either ma'am, you know whose job that is....Be KIND. We are ALL human, even...
Read moreUpdating my review of this location, I was not expecting such a bad experience here. I understand finding good employees is hard today but we had way too many issues during this visit. 1.) they seem to be discontinuing popular Kirkland products like paper plates, 2.) the free samples we had a bad experience with the person running the one by the freezers since I had a full cart I moved to the side to let my wife grab one of each for both of Us the women running it gave my wife a look to kill I was not happy about that attitude by her she knew exactly why she was grabbing 2 of each. 3.) then the checkout was a total disaster one of the items Kirkland Chicken had a damaged label we didn't notice , first the cashier wanted to ring everything else up while someone went back to get another. This was fine but it was taken way too long and the people behind us were getting aggravated like we were the cause of the delay. The girl that went back came back with the wrong thing so we still couldn't pay for the chicken. The cashier was adamant we wait until they fixed the issue. And wait to get the chicken rung up at another register. We just left checkout is already a process at Costco with the receipt checker slowing down departure. I'm definitely not renewing my membership after this! Been a member for a long time it's time to find something else unless Costco figures out their issues. It's a long drive for us we don't need all...
Read moreThis place is fantastic!! I feel like a fat kid in a chocolate cake factory when walking through those gangway doors. Do you know how much stuff is in this place?!?!?! A lot! Haha I havnt walked through a Costco since I was kid in California but this one here in Hermantown, MN sure did not let me down. It’s amazing! The stuff you find in bulk and the price for it saves you astronomically compared to going to anywhere else. Don’t get me wrong, I like other stores too but this one for a family of 6 definitely helps in the long run. Not only did we find all the food we need for our household but we also have been going around and saw everything we need for our wedding coming up in June for dinner ware, sheets, string lights,…..everything we can get at a decent price compared to going to anywhere else. When my fiancé and I first arrived at Costco we had to go sign up as members ofcorse and the people there, Connie and Bonnie, were so helpful. We decided to go with the executive membership costing $120 a year. The perks were too good to pass up. We can’t wait to come back next week to do some shopping and be prepared for everything we will need in our household, get things for our wedding, and continue to explore at what Costco has to offer. Thanks for the wonderful experience and you can definitely expect to see us again shopping around. #schroyerfamily #schroyerfamilydaily #shopping #greatservice...
