The wait staff was absolutely wonderful and so kind, but the food.... well first of all I have been to other china stars and was very confused when this wasn't a buffet (as was the table next to us) and I ordered chicken chow mein. Every single restaurant i have ever been to serves chow mein with NOODLES. This was werved with a bunch of veggies, the thinnest bits of chichen ever, and then.... the salad topping type crunchy chow mein at the bottom of everything? What on earth. So I ordered a 'small side of plain lo mein to add to my food' and they proceeded to give me the most comically large portion of food ive ever recieved. Which would have been fine if a bit silly if the food was GOOD. Extremely thin, dry noodles with a strange almost saurkraut-like taste. Awful. Maybe it would have helped if there was literally any pictures of any of the food on the menu- its just words so you have no idea what to expect. I probably won't be coming back. For fun here is the enormous pile of noodles I was given.

Edited for updating. This restaurant is seriously filthy and run down. Every single plate we were served was chipped. Bacteria are carried in those chips. There was dirty laundry in the smaller banquet room. Old shoes behind the till. The bathroom was GROSS. I can only imagine what the kitchen is like. The food was okay but I lost my appetite looking at the place. Used to be one of my favorite spots but I'll never eat there again. Honestly someone should call the health department.

Poor service. The place was 3/4 empty and she dropped off the food and never came back. No extra water... I would have had another beer. But she never checked in on me. Food was ok. First actual (non-chain) Chinese restaurant I've ever been to that had jiaozi and called them pot stickers. Probably wont return.

It was like a ghost town there because we went sort of between lunch and dinner.

It is a sit down restaurant, no buffet, so we ordered a platter appetizer with wonton, Wings. Pork, meat skewer, egg roll... the egg rolls were delicious, but the wonton were clearly stale even though though fried...they seemed like they were probably dried out before fried.

The pork had a horrible sour kind of taste I thought was the sauce.

The skewer meat was super tough.

I ordered Mongolian beef that wasn't bad at all, but only had about 1/4 cup of rice noodles. Lol I was excited for the crunchy rice boodles so that was disappointing.

My son ordered pork chow mean, and he didn't like it. At first I thought he just didn't like chowmein, but I tried some and the pork itself was sour or something...I've never had such horrible pork.

I told the hostess about it and she left but never came back.

I told the waitress also after looking up if the pork was supposed to taste like that and reading that was a sign of bad pork and even cooking it doesn't get rid of the toxins you may be smelling...we didn't eat it. But someone might idk

Finally we had packed everything up and that was when I realized it even smelled badly...it smelled like...idk something that went sour in a bad way.

The waitress came baxk and even she noted the bad smell.

They did offer to cook a different dish. But by that time we were ready to go.

Disappointing, maybe was just the time of day we went, or a bad day.

Wound up spending 70 dollars for three of us to leave there feeling like we should have went to...

I will say th the Hunan Beef platter was good, although heavy on the celery as others have stated. The overall taste however was good. The spicy hot pepper sauce was definitely fire...awesome. The service, on the flip, was horrible. No, " is everything OK?", "Would you like anything else?" I don't know maybe dessert, or "Can I get you a TOGO box?" NOTHING! When I say nothing, I do mean nothing. One napkin to use the entire meal and appetizer. No prebussing. Come by your table for ANYTHING; I don't think so? When I asked for a togo cup for my drink it was, "We don't do those." When it says, "Family Restaurant, they are only referring to themselves". It is abundantly apparent that the older lady in the front, running the register, does not care about the grievances of the clientele. Despite the unsettling disconcern for the needs of the patrons, I do not hold the waitress entirely responsible. She was the only waitress on the floor. She was seemed "green" and unable to multi-task. Again, not her fault. Management should know her limits and help or hire another waitress. This is just another way of demonstrating their concern for themselves. While expressing my concerns to the older lady at the front, it was apparent that she felt I was a nuisance; the waitress however, seemed to be sincerely apologetic, even saddened by my experience. IT IS MY OPINION, IF YOU WANT OKAY FOOD W/ AN AWFUL...

I ordered carryout of shrimp fried rice and beef with fried potatoes. When I got my order Home, there were no potatoes with the beef. When the gal had brought my order up, she said something about beef with peapods and I said no it’s supposed to be with fried potatoes and she said 00 yeah it’s fried potatoes. Not one potato in the order. When I called in about the situation, I was told that the woman would give me a one dollar credit for having no potatoes in my order. I don’t want peapods, I don’t like peapods. And I wanted to either my order replaced and brought to me or refunded. They refused. This is the last time that I will ever order from this restaurant. Update: I was talking to a friend the next day, and she told me that she had ordered sweet and sour chicken, but when she got her order, there was no sweet-and-sour sauce. When she called the restaurant, she was told she would have to come into the restaurant to get the sweet-and-sour sauce. Then they wanted her to pay for it even though it was supposed to come with her meal. The customer service at this place is absolutely atrocious. I changed my rating...
