I’m genuinely never coming back here again. Usually the stylists do a good job but today I left actually in shock of what was done to my hair. I asked for a modern mullet, and the lady gave me a little boys haircut that was SHORT IN THE BACK. I showed her multiple pictures and she nodded and said she could do it, clearly she could not. I just asked that the back be trimmed to not stick out because it was like a bob in the back, but it was clear by my requests and the photos I showed that the back was still long. She literally tapered the back of my head. She asked how short and I simply said “just as short as it needs to be for the style of the mullet”, I didn’t realize that in her head that meant TAPER THE BACK OF MY HEAD. By the time I saw how much she cut on the back of my head I had to just go with it because it is so short that the only other option for my hair now would be a buzz cut. I already had relatively short hair when I came in to the store (as I previously mentioned it was similar to a bob in length) and I feel that my stylist saw a woman with short hair and made an assumption that I would want a man’s haircut. I came in casual clothes of jeans and a hoodie because it’s COLD OUTSIDE, and I truly feel that because I was dressed gender neutrally she assumed I didn’t want a feminine haircut. It was supposed to be similar to Jennifer Lawrence’s mullet and I’m now stuck walking around WITH ABSOLUTELY NO LENGTH LEFT IN MY HAIR. I can’t put any accessories in, the only thing that helps it look a little better on my face shape is wearing a headband. The haircut is genuinely so different from what I asked that it’s in no way a skill issue, this was definitely done with malice; which is why I am almost certain she made an assumption about me or my sexual orientation and decided to mess me up on purpose. She then had the audacity to seem grumpy when I still tipped 20% because I’m still a polite person. I didn’t put up a fight after I saw how short it was because like I said it is now so short that there literally isn’t anything else that can be done until it grows out besides a buzz cut. I am genuinely so embarrassed by this haircut, and I am not exaggerating when I say it is horrible and entirely different. Google Jennifer Lawrence mullet, and then google Justin Bieber young haircut, THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE. My hair was my best physical feature and this lady just completely ruined it; it won’t be back to normal in at least five months. I haven’t felt this insecure about my appearance since my mom gave me a bowl cut in elementary school and EVEN THAT WOULD BE BETTER THAN WHAT I HAVE NOW. Avoid this place like the...
Read moreMy sisters first time going to a hair stylist, she loved it, and her stylist! I would definitely go back there to visit her! She made my sister feel comfortable, even though my sister was nervous to get her hair cut. (It was her very first time getting a haircut!) My stylist, on the other hand, is why I took away two stars. (We both had different stylists.) My hair has been the same length for the better part of 15 years. Every time it grows to a certain point, I ask for 3 inches off the bottom, and added layers. My sister would always cut if and layer it, unfortunately, she is out of state. So, I told the stylist how I wanted my hair done. (How my sister has always done it.) She said she wouldn't cut the layers as short as I wanted, because it would make the bottom thin. I said okay, and asked if she could add layers, but make them further down. (For reference, my hair is a little further down than mid-back length.) She blatantly ignored my request. After years of having it done, I know layering my hair isn't that difficult. I'm not a difficult person to please, especially since I didn't have any pictures on hand of how my sister would cut it, so I would have accepted any layering in my hair. Probably won't be returning to HC after this visit. I wish I would have gotten the names of...
Read moreI was new to the area and went to this salon and was looking forward to become their permanent customer but unfortunately I had the worse experience of my life in this salon. I showed a picture and was clearly told the hair cuter lady her name was Haseeba, that what I want and how I wanted but she was extremely rude, mean and had absolutely no knowledge of good customer service, she didn’t follow my instructions and did her own way and messed up my hair anyway, besides that she argued with me all the way until she was done with my hair. She kept saying that She wished they assigned me with someone else and kept saying: I don’t work here I don’t know why I’m here today, why they put me in this salon. Don’t ask me anything about the products I don’t know I don’t work here. I was very scared for my safety because I felt that she is going to cut my head or my ear, I felt very unsafe getting haircut from her. It looked like someone was forcing her to cut hair. Please be careful and don’t avoid the 1 start reviews because thats what I did and had very bad experience. Before myself I saw her cutting kids hair, please be careful leaving your child with her, I personally would never feel safe letting her to cut my...
