
I'm a disabled veteran that's been exercising for 45 years. My back is degenerative. I recently discovered that my bones won't tolerate resistance training any more. All my joints ache.
A representative reached out to me and was concerned that she had not seen me in some time. All employees were aware of my limitations. I informed the lady of my deteriorated condition and that I needed to cancel my membership.
I recently had a bill collector inform me that I had $129 on my credit report for Workout Anytime Duncan. I explained that I had canceled in writing.
I contacted the gym, and the manager Shawn returned my call. He was very rude and constantly interrupting me. He accused me of yelling, but I informed him that I was not, but I didn't appreciate his rudeness. I explained my situation, yet he stated that I should have came in and signed a cancelation form to which I said I was unaware.
Shawn argued that it was in my contract, yet I do not remember all the details of my contract. He is aware that I canceled thru a text (in writing) that must not have been fully understood. Yet rather than explaining that I needed to sign another form, I thought we had concluded business.
Shawn is unwilling to work with me on this. I appreciate the concern from the young lady, yet if someone states considering cancelation, a friendly reminder should be obvious and courteous to come back for additional forms.

I am not a member. I have visited a workout facility before with someone and all of them on google say 24hrs except this new location. So in my search of finding a local gym to go to, you can see why I (or anyone not knowing the membership policies off hand) would be confused on how it can be anytime but limited open hours throughout the week. A nice lady behind the desk was very, very helpful answering questions as well as friendly and polite. She showed me around the place, and it seems that there are as many machines and free weights as anybody could allow.
