Rapture Tattoo Emporium — Local services in Duncannon

Thursday, Sept 15th, 2016 was one of the best tattoo experiences of my life. I've been an admirer of Jake Kirk's work for quite some time, and yesterday I made the trek to PA (from MD) to Rapture Tattoo to get my first tattoo session with him.

I am a tattoo artist, and I can say, with full confidence, that Rapture Tattoo Emporium is five start experience. The staff is amazing! Frenchie, the front manager, was polite and helpful when assisting me over the phone and once I arrived at the studio; He was most attentive in checking me in and he made me and my friend feel right at home. Frenchie along with my artist, Jake, were there wearing smiles to greet me. Jake was waiting for my arrival to show me the amazing design he had drawn for my chest piece... It was all I had dreamt it would be!

I spent my whole day with the Rapture crew, Jake, Frenchie, JD, Craig, and their friend Keith (I didn't see Todd); Everyone was warm, positive, and everything you'd expect when signing up for a long day of tattooing. I've been tattooed more then the average person, and I can tell you that nothing was missed about this service. I had pillows to keep me comfy, along with beverages offered, and great conversation/music.

If you are someone looking for both a wonderful piece of art, and an amazing service, I would give my full recommendation to Rapture Tattoo Emporium! All the artists do amazing custom work, each having their own personality and style. Together with the art and the atmosphere, I felt like I was with friends I'd known for years (having only met most of them that day).

I loved my first session getting tattooed! I can't wait to go back and see everyone again. Pain is always involved in getting tattooed, but with a studio like this, the pain wasn't even something I could register; They all made it worth the pain! I love you guys! Can't wait to sit...

My wife and I are almost 40 and finally went to get our first tattoos. Even at this age, it's still nerve-racking because there are so many options, it is (hopefully) a permanent decision, and you don't want to get something you don't love.

Enter Rapture Tattoo and Josh Hoffman. Josh made both of our experiences better than I could have ever imagined. He answered all of our questions, talked us through the whole process, collaborated and worked with us on our designs, discussed what changes he'd recommend and why, and ultimately gave both of us something that we can forever cherish. Josh is truly a gifted artist and will make you feel comfortable every step of the way.

Beyond the amazing work Josh did, we met many of their other artists who were all friendly and made you feel like part of their family.

I had a 3 hour session with Breah two weeks ago, and I have genuinely never had such a pleasant experience getting tattooed.

Breah’s professionalism, communication, attention to detail, and quality of work blew me away. Her prices are reasonable and competitive, considering the quality of experience you get at Rapture.

I also am floored by how well my tattoo has been healing the last 2 weeks. Legitimately the easiest healing process I’ve experienced, which is saying something considering I decided to get tattooed in the summer. The tattoo balm they use is unbelievable. I am not exaggerating- I have had almost zero peeling or flaking with it. I hope they carry it forever because I will not use anything else for aftercare.

If you have never been to Rapture- read their website. Be thorough. Bring cash. Follow their instructions regarding tattoo aftercare. As with all service industries, take their work as seriously as they do, and you will not be disappointed.
