Mr. Moonbounce LLC. — Local services in Dundalk

Recently had a lackluster experience and service with Mr. Moonbounce for my rental on Saturday, August 17. This was the first time using this company for a tent rental and I was happy to have found a small local business to support, but alas I don't have any desire to return. It would seem that I was duped by the great website and ease of booking. Other companies I have used provide much better service and good communication throughout the process.

As such, based on the following points that I wrote by email so it was clear my stance, I requested a refund of some sort but 2 days later still haven't received a response. The $485 price I paid upfront, including a tip to the driver, was not worth all of the stress and trouble Mr. Moonbounce provided. This was supposed to be for a hassle-free, 30 person package. These issues included:

1. No consideration to the customer with the fluctuating delivery schedule. I received a call Thursday afternoon that my delivery was scheduled for Friday between 11am-4pm and that I would get a call that morning to confirm a time. Not until 12 noon on Friday did I receive a call that the delivery for Friday was not going to happen until Saturday between 9-10am. I do appreciate that David apologized for the mixup but when I am running around preparing for 30 people to arrive at my house, the several changes in the delivery schedule was stressful and inconvenient. The actual time of arrival was not until 11am, which is ridiculous when the event start time was 12 noon.
2. What I ordered and paid for was not what I received, and when I planned out my party space accordingly and what was delivered didn't match, it's absurd and looked awful. I paid for and had a confirmation for the 30 person tent package which was to include a 10x30 tent, not only was that not the tent that was delivered (instead it was 3 smaller tents put together in an awful L shape in our yard), there were only 2 round tables and 2 rectangular tables when it should have been 3 rounds. One table was placed under each of the 3 tents and there was one random table outside of the tent area. It was so out of place and unnecessary, we folded it up and placed it on the side of the house. Additionally, there were no table covers for any of the tables. I had my own rectangular covers but no round covers so had to use the rectangular covers on the rounds to at least have some of the table covered. It looked awful and was not what I ordered. This is the main reason I want my money back for this sham.
3. Poor communication- I received a text message Saturday at 9:15am stating "FYI- we were one round table cover short. So we add two table covers for the rectangle tables." I wasn't even sure what that meant and running around preparing for 30 people to arrive I just responded "Ok, no problem." If what I paid for was 3 round tables, why wasn't that what I received?
4. Information on the website is not accurate- where it states on the booking page *Weekend (NEW): Friday delivery by 3PM & Sunday pick up after 3PM So this is what I was planning for. If this doesn't apply for Saturday (weekend) orders, remove this from the booking page.
5. Poor communication again- There was no confirmation of pick up time so I was going off of the above statement I read on the booking page. I then get a text message at 7:46pm when I am out of the house asking to fold up everything. I thought, ok great, will have that done in the morning because the website says pickup will me 9am Sunday.

Overall this was just an awful experience in so many ways from the service, communication, and delivery. The line in the below email that states "We provide the best service and equipment in the industry" is not what I experienced at all and having rented from other companies in the past, they all surpass Mr. Moonbounce in...

All I can say is I can’t do over all stars because it won’t be fair. So this is what I will do. Customer service on the phone for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd before they can was great. Delivery Friday 20th, 2024 was perfect meaning this driver/delivery was on point. He gets 5 stars for sure.very professional/ knowledgeable. He went above and beyond.

Now the pick up was down right a 0. If I had to deal with those 2 guys. I would never deal with this company ever again. They’re going to give this company a bad name. They came on my property never called, never knocked on the door or rung a bell. And Yes, someone was home at the time.My family didn’t know someone outside until they went outside to the car. I pull up and they’re in the driveway. I ask why didn’t someone call? I’m told by the skinny guy, “oh my bad, I forget”. Then my mom is walking in the house and another guy came from around the back and scared her. I ask my mom what was said. She tells me, “I told him he scared me”…Did he say anything? My mom stated, “no” he just kept on walking by her. The next thing I knew they were gone. I didn’t know that were coming and I didn’t know they left. They were very unprofessional. If I have to deal with this company and they come I will refuse and ask for a refund. I will always remember the faces. That’s not how you do business at all. We recently hosted a birthday party for a community event and decided to make it extra special by renting a bouncy castle and hiring face painters through Mr. Moonbounce. It turned out to be the best decision ever!

The bouncy castle was an absolute hit with the kids. It was clean, well-maintained, and provided endless entertainment throughout the party. The setup was professional, and the safety measures in place gave us peace of mind while the kids bounced away to their hearts’ content.

As for the face painters, they were incredibly talented and creative. They worked tirelessly to transform each child’s face into their favorite characters, animals, or superheroes. The kids were thrilled with the results, and the smiles on their faces were priceless.

What truly impressed us was the exceptional service provided by Mr. Moonbounce. From the initial inquiry to the end of the event, their team was professional, responsive, and attentive to our needs. They went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy the event along with our guests.

Overall, our experience with Mr. Moonbounce was outstanding. The bouncy castle and face painters added an extra element of fun and excitement to our event, making it a memorable day for everyone involved.
