North Atlanta Memorial Park — Local services in Dunwoody

I went yesterday (Saturday, November 23, 2024) to get a requested photo for FindAGrave. We had the marker number for the general area of the grave because I'd called ahead, knowing the office was closed on weekends. The requested photo was for a gravestone in the Jewish section, which is a comparatively small part of the N. Atlanta Memorial Park Cemetery, so I was perplexed that I could not find the grave, even after looking at every headstone in that section.

I was ready to give up when my husband let me know he had found someone who could help us. There happened to be a funeral that day, & an employee was there. I'm sorry to say we didn't get his name. But, he showed us exactly where the area marker was, as well as the grave.

The reason I couldn't find it was simple: the headstone had not yet been placed, so it was an unmarked grave still. In fact, there were several unmarked graves in that area. But he knew exactly which of them was the one for which I'd been looking. It took him a while to do it, but he diligently kept checking his information (on his phone) until he'd found what we needed.

Besides the Memorial Park being beautiful & very-well kept up, it was a מִצְוָה (mitzvah) for this gentleman to take time from his duties & to go out of his way to assist us. If I learn his name, I will come back to post it. I believe this is a lovely cemetery & also well-organized. If the other employees/owners are as kind as was this man, I'd add that their staff is genuinely...

My grandma passed away on July 1, 2020. I had been looking around for a niche to place her I called North Atlanta Memorial Park as it’s close to my house. Sung was able to help me over the phone and get an appointment set up next day to discuss my needs they have different options for the niche I chose the niche in the garden. Once my grandma was placed in the niche they put up a temporary plaque as her was being recently engraved. Kelly went above and beyond for me when I asked if it were possible to have a photo place in the plaque and to possibly add some butterflies just to make it more decorative he immediately called to put a hold on the plaque in order to meet my needs. Once everything was approved they were in constant communication with me providing updates I was hoping to have her plaque up by my grandmas birthday and low and behold it was up two days before.! Sung and Kelly both contacted me to let me know it was up and ready and that the picture would be in soon as soon as picture is up I will be posting a photo. I was also informed that I get a free first flowers to place in the vase which is very nice so the vase won’t be empty. I am very happy with my choice I recommend...

Two of my relatives are buried at the Graves in North Atlanta Memorial Park and Mausoleum and I visit them often.

My personal impression of this cemetery is excellent, especially when compared to two other cemeteries I regularly visit.

I always see the lawn and public areas clean and well maintained.

The office staff does outstanding work with all services like recommendations on selecting the burial place, making arrangements, ordering flowers, and fixing any other issues. All responses are done with great care and respect and make you feel better in your hour of need.
