The issue was a coolant leak. The supply and return lines needed to be changed.
Called in 10/17/24 btw 4a-5a and was told the tech comes in btw 5:30a-6a. My fiance put his name and number on the list and we waited. We didn't get a call until after 9a (that's when the tech came in). We pulled into bay 6, the first mechanic opened the hood and then looked up the parts needed. He told my fiance that they had to order the parts and that it wouldn't be fixed until the following day. That wasn't gonna work for us bc we were on a load. We asked for the part number so that we could get it ourselves. They gave us the numbers, we found the parts. We drove an hour away to pick up the parts and came back. When we got back we had to wait for another mechanic (Nick) to come in. We were called in around 5p-6p. Once Nick removed the lines he realized the parts were incorrect. We got the correct numbers from the actual lines, drove back another hour to exchange the parts, came back and Nick was able to finish (he finished 11:45pm). Initially we were charged for 6 hours of labor and was it only 3/4 hours. They fixed that, however when we turned the truck on, there was a check engine light that wasn't there initially. Another tech came out with the diagnostic machine to erase the codes but it wouldn't erase. She said that they would have to tear the truck apart to find out what was wrong. She then said that the labor was warranted and that we could come back to that location or any TA to have someone take a look at it but with manager approval. We came back 10/20/24, spoke with a manager, waited 4/5 hours only to be told that they didn't see anything and to take it...
Read moreOne of our Tractor trailers had a tire issue. We stopped in at 1030am and were told 4 hours to get the truck in. At 415pm roughly 6 hours later we were told another 3 hours. I do understand these are estimates but when i called back to discuss ETA and get some dialogue going on the issue i was met with abrassiveness from the customer service agent. She clearly didnt care about a positive customer experience nor her actual job. I explained that i just wanted to get our driver out of there cause we still had a 4 hour ride back to albany NY region. She didnt care and then proceeded to tell me i had to pull the truck off the lot to get it worked on by another tire repair company. i Contacted Mccarthy tire (whom we have an open account with) and they stated they'd come fix in half an hour.
Apparently whatever i stated to the agent did something because when i called back our driver to connect him with Mccarthy the truck was magically in the shop. Had i known this would be such a bad experience and waste of time i wouldve looked up closest Mccarthy location. i have let our 3 stores know if ever in this area to steer clear of TA Truck service. Its very unfortunate the way we were treated. i would reccomend to never go here to anyone reading...
Read moreWhen I arrived, I had just backed into my parking spot. Opened my phone and began the process of paying for my spot, before I could even do this, the lot attendant was knocking on my door to inform me I had to pay for the spot (I didn't even have time to finish). I showed him my phone that I was currently in the process of doing so, he says ok he will check the mobile app in like 40 min to make sure. I then paid 17 dollars for a cold shower (was no hot water). At 10 pm as I was laying down to sleep, the lot attendant walked back around to bang on my door again, then asked if I paid for my spot, I informed him I paid hours ago and even showed him at that point that I was in the process of paying, he then wanted me to get my phone show him I paid (not sure what happened to checking the app so I wouldn't be woken up for this) when I told him this is the 2nd time and that showed him hours ago, he informed me if I didn't like it, to go to pilot or somewhere else. So, this will be the last time I stop here in PA. In total I spent 23 dollars on parking, 17 on a cold shower, and 30 or 40 on a steak. I'll do as your lot attendant told me and I'll take my business to pilot. May wanna remind this guy, that trucks are what pays...
