Today I had the opportunity to try out Pedro Williams Barber Shop and am very pleased that I did so. Eliza cut my hair today and I couldn't be happier. As a first time customer, she was more than welcoming and made my 1st time cut pleasant. She inquired about my hair style and how I would like the cut. Not only at the beginning when I first sat in her chair, but throughout the process she made sure I loved what I saw in the mirror. Coming from my previous barber that has a similar atmosphere, it was great to have the option of something to drink or a beer if I chose. Seating was ample and this location has more square footage than most shops I have ever been to. As we were leaving, my young Daughter noticed jars of various treats on their wall. She left just as a happy as I was and she didn't even get a fresh cut! Check this place out if you are looking for a new barber or realistically, an upgrade. Hip, modern, skillful, caring and respectful are just a few words that come to mind as I think back on my experience at Pedro Williams Arrow Barber Shop today....
Read moreRecently moved to Research Triangleville. Went looking for a barber. I'm follically challenged so it's more of a social experience for me than one requiring maintenance. I walked into Arrow on Ninth in Durham without an appointment. All three chairs were occupied, so just as I started to sit down a customer (about 35-40 years old) in one of the chairs rose up like a petulant child from his chair, tossed off his drape and stormed out. Nicky, his barber , looked at me then called me over to sit. She looked stunned. The manchild who preceded me just had a hissy fit made because he couldn't make up his mind about what kind of hairstyle he wanted and got angry at the barber for not deciding for him.(Who does that?) Nicky handled the situation with humor and grace. WVe had a few laughs and she gave me a great #2 cut then trimmed my beard better than I could have done, or any barber in the past. Arrow hit the bullseye, dead center as far as I am concerned. I am now a...
Read moreI used to drive to Raleigh from Durham to get my hair cut. I liked the girl I went to, but she got busier and busier, and appointments were hard to find. Then I started going to Pedro Williams when they opened on a whim. I think I was on 9th street for a book signing or to go to Whole Foods. They were super accommodating and I got a great looking haircut. The few girls I've seen have all been friendly and chatty, which I enjoy. If you don't like talking with a stylist, I've noticed a few that don't talk, and I'm sure they're happy to go whichever way you bend. You're offered beer when you arrive. I don't drink, but I can appreciate how this would be fun for some. I do get a lot of morning haircuts, and still get offered beer, which always makes me laugh and starts a conversation on how many people are drinking at 9 in the morning. I highly recommend Pedro Williams for their awesome stylists and...
