Great variety of healthy whole vegan foods! Would have gave five star on service if the cashier would have had a better personality and they would have actually had tofu. It took at least 15 minutes before they had tofu. And that was the only vegan "protein" option. But they had plenty of other veggie options that were sufficient like black beans, sweet potatoes and broccoli which was great. It was unfortunate that the only vegan protein option was not even available. The cook was very kind and explained that was just because they got over the weekend shift having ran out and It took time to marinate, chop and cook. I would give five stars on the food if it was entirely vegan. There was way too much animal in there. ;)
*Apparently the owner thinks they "can't get rid of their animal products". What a disappointing response. Of course they can get rid of them! There's over 33,000 vegetarian and vegan restaurants in the US alone. Thousands of these are vegan. You can get rid of the animal products, you just don't care about the animals enough to or the gravely invasive impact animal agriculture has on the environment, communities, and human outcomes concerning health with increased risk of chronic disease for the consumer. If you cared about those things then you would easily make your restaurant entirely vegan and there are countless ways to do that and be better than all of the other restaurants around you.
There was a marketing class where they shared a story about Nike sending a researcher to Africa to see if there was a market. When he came back he said there wasn't because there was nobody there wearing shoes where he went. On the flip side though it was an untapped huge market of tremendous potential. It's kind of like is the glass half empty or full. You can get rid of the animal products, you just choose not to care or be creative enough to. There are literally Michelin star restaurants...
Read moreFirst time visiting and I was craving something healthy and quick. I was really excited to find somewhere that had fast, dairy free options. I ordered the Beyond Bulgogi bowl since it was vegan and was thoroughly happy with the taste and amount of food.(Korean BBQ Beyond meatballs, ginger cucumbers, pickled carrots, cabbage slaw, avocado, yum yum sauce, scallions, sesame seeds, jasmine rice).
That being said...I only gave 4 stars beacause it was kind of expensive (15 and change) for just the bowl and half a cup of yum yum sauce, no one greeted when I walked in, and also when I entered into the restaurant there is no clear definition of where the pick up is (I honestly may have missed it, I had been up since 3 am) but when you figure out where it is and walk up it is just a window with a steel shelf and food is just sitting there not bagged (not much of a biggie I guess) with just a ticket on it that you have to lean over the other to go plates to read your name. Not only that but there are no markings for distancing and some other customer came up behind me to grab his food.
I worked in the restaurant industry for many years and sometimes when you don't have wait staff you see all of the other issues in a restaurant. There were only about 6 other customers in the store that day so they weren't crazy busy and not a single person in line. The food was really good and maybe next time I go (I believe in second chances) back it will be a better experience since I am a little more familiarized with the way...
Read moreI don't think I've ever placed an online order here that's ended up being correct when I pick it up. When I get home I see there's always items missing or wrong. I've ordered breakfast wraps and salad bowls where ingredients are missing that I've paid extra for or items get substituted or the order is just wrong. Today I ordered an Incredibowl and it was missing the mint, avocado, and sweet potato that comes on the bowl - that's 33% of the ingredients missing, yet I'm still paying full price for it. I hate to be so negative because I do think the staff is nice and the food tastes good usually, but I'm getting tired of there always being issues with consistency and quality in my orders. I'm not usually one too say a place is overpriced because I know there's a lot of effort and labor that goes into making food, but this place is definitely not worth it until they fix their quality issues. If I'm paying $12 for a salad bowl that doesn't even have any meat in it, it shouldn't be missing a third of the ingredients that come on it. It's really disappointing - if they could fix these consistency issues then they'd have a higher rating. Unfortunately I've been ordering here for years and this has always been a problem - I'd say definitely do not order...
