Today we went Kabab and Curry for lunch and left seriously impressed — and full. Every dish we ordered was a hit, especially if you’re into bold vegetarian flavors.
We started with the veg momo, and they were excellent. Perfectly steamed dumplings with a soft outer layer and a well-seasoned vegetable filling inside — think cabbage, carrots, and herbs all finely chopped and flavorful. The spicy dipping sauce added just the right amount of heat without overwhelming the taste.
The star of the meal was the kadhai paneer — rich, aromatic, and cooked with that signature smoky flavor that only comes from a well-seasoned kadhai (wok). The paneer was soft and fresh, and the peppers and onions in the mix added a great crunch and contrast. The gravy was thick, spicy, and perfect for scooping up.
Speaking of scooping — the garlic naan was a total standout. Buttery, warm, and packed with chopped garlic and herbs. Just the way it should be.
To round things out, we had a mango lassi, which was creamy, smooth, and perfectly sweet. It balanced out the spices from the meal beautifully.
The service was friendly, and the vibe of the place was casual but comfortable — great for a relaxed meal. Portions were generous, and the food came out hot and fresh.
Highly recommend for anyone craving flavorful, satisfying vegetarian dishes — or just great Indian-Nepali food in general. We’ll...
Read moreThe most delightful thing to happen to 9th Street in quite a while. The food is amazing, everything made in house from the samosas to the tamarind chutney. Papadums come to the table with three chutneys the same way chips and salsa do at Matatlan. There's a real laid back, casual elegance to the room and the dining experience. For spicy dishes, it's a five ro ten scale. Five is just right for people without a love of the burn. Eight makes me sweat in the best possible way. As handicap accessible as any business on 9th street can be. Kids have been in the room every time I've visited. That said, there's a full bar and a nice selection of appropriate beers. Our full blow out two entrée and two appetizers experience plus tip was about 25 dollars each. The lunch menu has plenty to offer in the 15 dollar range. A bowl of mulligatawny soup is seven bucks and will fill you right up. I am very thankful to have an option like the Kabab and Curry House so close to home. Planning to visit at least once a week until I have had every item...
Read moreIf you're craving authentic Nepali and Indian cuisine, Kabab and Curry is a must-visit! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and attentive service that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The menu offers a great variety of both Nepali and Indian dishes, each packed with flavor and prepared with care. I tried the veg momo and paneer chili- both were absolutely delicious. The naan was soft and fresh, and paired perfectly with the curries. They also offer non-veg options, and my family loved the chicken momo and chicken chili. What really stood out was the service — friendly staff, prompt service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're familiar with Asian cuisine or trying it for the first time, the team here makes sure you have a great experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for flavorful, authentic food and great service. I’ll definitely be...
