Imagine being tired after working all day, and then taking a simple trip to the nearest Food Lion with your 5 month old Grandson, to pick up a few items, and to exchange a molded Pizza for a fresh one. You have a receipt for the Pizza. The Receipt clearly shows that you bought the pizza the day before at another Food lion location.
Now imagine, being told that it is okay for you to exchange the pizza for a fresh one by Customer Service. So you do so. You also pick up a few more items. You then proceed to Self Checkout.
Now imagine, notifying the Self Check out person hat the pizza you have is already paid for. You then show her the receipt that Customer Service has highlighted in yellow and INITIALED.
Now imagine the Self Checkout person, accusing you of STEALING the PIZZA, before they even consult with the Customer Service Representative who INITIALED your receipt. They inform you that they are a Manager and because your pizza is not bagged, and the receipt is from another store, you must be trying to STEAL the Pizza.
Now imagine, that after the Self Checkout Person consults with the Customer Service Rep., she is informed that the Pizza is PAID for.
Now imagine the Self Checkout person returning to you...AND NOT APOLOGIZING for her mistake. After she has HUMILIATED you in front of a Self Checkout LINE of Customers. And then she has the audacity to act as though you as the CUSTOMER did something wrong!!!!!
Now you can stop imagining, because this is what happened to me last night, around 6:45 pm. I'm LIVID right now. AND I WAS LIVID AS THIS VIOLATION WAS HAPPENING TO ME. Not to mention, she handled and frisked my pizza, like it was a toy. Then expected me to keep that same pizza. Then she had the audacity to make a comment concerning me to another customer, as if I couldn't hear her. I cannot believe that I was treated and targeted like this while I was with my 5 month old grandson. AS I WAS LITERALLY MINDING MY BUSINESS. I'm offended. I'm incensed.
She showed me absolutely NO RESPECT as a customer.

Read moreOn Mother’s Day, I visited this Food Lion location and was surprised to find that there were no shopping carts available outside—none at either entrance. I asked a young cashier named Ashley if she could help, and even though she was actively ringing up customers, she kindly said she would try to find one for me. I thanked her and waited.
While waiting, I noticed someone who appeared to be a manager based on his attire. I approached him and asked if he was the manager, and he confirmed that he was (Andrew). I explained the situation about the missing carts, expecting some understanding or at least an apology. Instead, his immediate response was, “I had five callouts today,” offering excuses instead of accountability or assistance. There was no empathy or customer service in his response. He didn’t go outside his self to get a cart for me and kept stocking sodas.
Meanwhile, Ashley stopped what she was doing—literally stepping away from her register—and went out in the rain, without a jacket, to retrieve a cart for me. All while the manager stood by and watched.
That’s not just poor leadership—it’s unacceptable, especially on a day like Mother’s Day. I’m writing this review to publicly thank Ashley for going above and beyond. She deserves recognition, a reward, or some kind of incentive for her dedication. As for the manager, some serious retraining in customer service is needed. This is not how customers...
Read moreThe people are mostly nice when you talk to them in person but their customer service is ridiculous and they NEVER answer the phone. I ordered my pickup order at like 1pm for pick up from 6pm to 7pm. Neither the app nor website was telling me any updates, it said my order was confirmed but not started so I called the store multiple times but they didn't answer ever. I called the Food Lion customer service and they said the order was complete. I was already on my way there so when I got there I called them to confirm I was in the pickup spot but they didn't answer so I went in and waited at customer service for like 15-20 minutes standing there before finally the manager came. She said she saw the order but it said it was being shopped currently but there was no one there shopping it so then she said, well the only person that knows how to do to go orders had left for the day and no one else can do it apparently. I thought, so no one else can pick things off of shelves and put them in bags..? But I assume there's more to it I guess. So the only option was to get a refund after hours of trying to get my order. I can shop myself obviously but I had plans which had to be drastically altered cuz of the time all this took.
