China Kitchen — Restaurant in Durham

If you are in the mood for some basic Chinese food then this is the place. I’ve been coming here for years mainly only because it’s location and fix. However, there needs to be some improvements with the way how people are treated. I’ve never been sure about the tip policy at this restaurant but last time I went in it felt like they were expecting one by hovering over me when I was given the receipt. A tip is earned not expected. Also, this place does not give out there extras such as duck or soy sauce or fortune cookies. One has to personally ask for it even when ordering a meal. Those items should be given along with the food that was ordered. Lastly, listening really helps. It’s not that the order was wrong but it felt like I couldn’t get exactly what I wanted because the person over the phone wasn’t that interested in a customer. I can handle these antics and will be here again but not for a very long time. I go through spurts when it comes to this China Kitchen. Good luck...

I used to live by china kitchen so I decided to get them for dinner tonight. I asked for chicken well done fried hard so this very reason. China kitchen you should be a shame. To have this cold light chicken is unbelievable. I called and told them my issue they wanted to have me keep the item and offered a egg roll. After I explained why would I want that look what you provided ! I have three pieces that are lighter than this. The chicken taste old as if it was sitting there. They wouldn’t provide any compensation or anything and told me to bring the chicken in.

They got my order wrong and served me chicken that looks like this. I will not be going back to this place ever again. Poor customer service as if someone would lie about something like this. I will be bringing it back and writing a review...

This used to be my favorite Chinese spot in the area but their unclean handling of food and gaslighting as if I don’t know what a bug looks like in my food. There was a bug found in my egg roll and when I called to notify the restaurant, the manager asked if I was sure it was big as if I don’t know a bug looks like. I have no reason to lie about something being in my food and it was very much a bug (you can look in the photo provided). They then tried to say that their egg rolls are hand made as if that makes a difference. If a place is dirty, it can still end up in the food especially if it’s handled poorly. They asked if I wanted to come back for a free one abut I refused. I will no longer be a customer of this...
