Triangle Access-- a "curb to curb" paratransit service-- has its good points and its bad. For one, i've been able to make my PT appts (post R knee replacement) without paying uber or lyft to travel to & fro Raleigh 3x/week. However, there don't seem to be enough transport vans and/or drivers because there are days it takes me hours to get home from my appointments. Yesterday, for example, i was scheduled to be picked up from pt at 3:15 and didn't get home until nearly 5:30. My poor knee, for the whole time, was locked behind the seat in front of me which didn't afford enough room to move it around. Genuine consideration needs to be given to the needs of users of the service who are (generally) sickly, in various iterations of disrepair and, therefore, unable to endure such long rides to get home. Yesterday was insufferable. Otherwise, most of the drivers are very professional, kind and helpful and the vehicles are...

Also, buses seem to switch what route they're on sometimes and some drivers don't change the number or description on the bus's sign until after they've closed the doors and are driving away. I'm currently standing in the rain, waiting on the next bus, because my bus still had old route info on the sign until after it pulled away. I'm not the only one, either. At least two other people just missed this bus because of this. I've almost missed the bus for similar reasons...
Read moreThe coldest night of the year i was waiting at the stop on lakeboone and myron rd. Had been there since 7:20 pm. When the bus comes flying by at 7:36. Like the driver didnt even know there was a stop there. Flying so fast, i guess they were in a hurry to get to the catch up spot at whole foods so they could hang out 10 min and talk on the phone. Had to call an Uber. They should just keep the buses free. Because it would suck to have to 65.00 for a monthly pass, and end up having to...
