I went in looking to get a piece of jewelry made because I work close by and really like the workmanship. I met with a designer, sat down, discussed a design, looked at some stones (they weren't 100% what I wanted) and requested a quote. I was told that they could not procure the stone that I wanted and that they did not have a source for it. (What!?! Youre not going to even try?) I was clear I wanted to move forward with obtaining a quote but would continue to look for the exact stone I wanted. After all, I was prepared to pay a lot of money for this piece so I wanted it to be pretty close to what I was envisioning. I never recieved a correspondence with a quote. I then had to reach out to them and was told that they thought I was onto something else. No problem, I'm fine with a mistake. So I agreed to carry on. They sent me an astronomical quote via email. I requested that they check their numbers again because their prices weren't coenciding with the current market. No response. I dropped in and was treated rather unpleasantly. I left that day with the wind taken out of my sails. I never heard from them, no response, nothing. Huge mistake on their part because I already went elsewhere and had the piece made at half the cost. The other jeweler had no problem finding the stone I was looking for. The only thing I can think that I did wrong was want something specific, not settling, being educated about stones, presenting in a t shirt and jeans and knowing the current market value of metals. I'll add that i'm new to the area and I have always been very well known at my previous Jewelers. I would visit often as i'm always working on something and creating pieces. You just lost A LOT of money. However, I thank you because I found my new jeweler! Good luck! I hope you use this as a...
Read moreI will try to keep this short, but I am just so pleased with the craftsmanship and customer service at Jewelsmith. This was my second experience with them, and for the second time, they have out done themselves. For my 2 year wedding anniversary/Christmas gift, my husband gifted me a redesign experience for my wedding ring. It was originally one large ring that didn't really suit my style, so I went to the experts at Jewelsmith for help. I walked in and asked them to completely disassemble my ring and create me a wedding stack using the same diamonds from the previous ring. As I waited for them to laugh at this chaos, they did the complete opposite. Delouis and Tracey COMPLETELY redesigned the whole thing and created the rings I plan to wear until "death do us part". THEY ARE GORGEOUS!!! I included some photos for reference. I described to Delouis and Tracy what I wanted and they made it come to life. Thank you SO MUCH Delouis and Tracy for your designs, customer service, care, attention to detail, and Gem and Metal knowledge. Molly, thank you for your work on the CAD designs and the awesome 3D models I got to try on before the final rings were made. Bryson, thank you for your care and attention to detail as the Goldsmith on this project. If you are looking for pieces that will last you forever, are one of a kind, and that you can pass down to your children and grandchildren (I have neither yet, but I know they will wan these beauties), this is the jeweler for you! Delouis and Tracy, see you around my birthday! I think I need earrings...
Read moreJewelsmith is definitely deserving of the amazingly high reviews it has. I worked with Tiffany on a bespoke engagement ring for my fiance. Since my fiance insisted on being totally surprised, I wasn't able to involve her in the design process, which made things a little nerve wracking. Despite all my research, I still had almost no idea what I was really doing. That is where Tiffany came in. At our first meeting she discussed visions with me, listened, and even busted out a sketch book to talk through pros and cons of different design options and how they would look and feel. She painstakingly worked on digital renderings of the different designs, incorporating my feedback at each step. She provided input when I asked for it, but was incredibly respectful of my decisions. She worked with me on options to stay in budget and even scouted other stones at gem shows for me. If you're going though serious jewelry shopping for the first time, you couldn't ask for a better guide. At every step of the design phase from sketches to digital renderings to wax model casting, I had chances to see the product and make changes, and Tiffany was helpful in realizing my vision a ring that could be worn all day every day; elegant but sturdy for all the outdoor trekking my partner and I do. Despite all this, the price point was very fair, and I could not be happier with the process end to end. Thank...
