If I could give zero stars, I would. We crossed here on Saturday 7/13/23, it took an hour and a half to get to the state side. Once there, the border patrol agent at the booth argued with us that the light was "always green" when we pulled up to the booth. My partner was driving and kept trying to explain that light was red and then turned green. They started randomly searching our car, one agent asked another "What is this?" It was my partner's bags of Chamoy, and questioned him as to why he had so much of it, to which he said it wasn't illegal, it was candy. The border patrol agent was telling us we may have too much because "some people try to bring 20 cases of beer across the border" to which my partner replied with "but it's candy, not beer". We got "randomly" pulled into second checkpoint as a retaliation. The guard that approached us there was very aggressive and my partner told him we didn't feel comfortable with him and asked to speak to a supervisor, and the guy said we could speak with one after our vehicle was searched. We said we'd like to speak with one now and he put his hand on his gun and said "are you saying you're not going to comply?" That made us even more nervous and he demanded a supervisor. We got out of our car and the guy left and the supervisor came while they searched our car. We explained to her that we felt targeted and were being treated like criminals and we believed it was retaliation for us not backing down when they were talking to us all crazy. She said she'd review the footage and reprimand as necessary, and that some of them aren't rude, as we suggested that they "are just from other places in the country and that's just how they are". I don't care, I don't like almost having a gun pulled out in front of me when there was zero threat applied. That officer needs to be fired. Long story short, they didn't find anything illegal in our car (of course they didn't' because it didn't' exist) and they wasted...
Read moreA Smooth Crossing at Camino Real International Bridge II I recently had the pleasure of crossing the border at the Camino Real International Bridge II (Eagle Pass International Bridge II), and I was thoroughly impressed with the experience. From start to finish, the process was remarkably efficient and well-organized.
Despite the potential for long wait times at border crossings, my wait was minimal. The bridge and its facilities were clean and well-maintained, creating a much more pleasant atmosphere than I've experienced at other crossings. The staff I encountered were professional, courteous, and helpful, answering my questions with patience and a smile. They seemed genuinely committed to facilitating a smooth and efficient crossing for everyone.
What stood out most was the clear signage and the logical flow of traffic. Navigating the process, even as a first-time user of this particular bridge, was straightforward and stress-free. This is a testament to the thoughtful planning and management of the facility.
Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, I highly recommend using the Camino Real International Bridge II. It offers a quick, efficient, and surprisingly pleasant border crossing experience. It's clear that the focus here is on streamlining the process and making it as easy as possible for travelers. Kudos to the entire team at Camino Real for their...
Read moreFor 7 years I have not been able to use the online feature to add money to my easy pass card. I’ve stopped by bridge 2 so many times and every time I was given a paper and that’s all the help that’s been offered until today at 5am. I stopped by to add money b/c it’s a holiday weekend in Mexico and I didn’t want to wait in the lines. Oscar was at the desk and I went to put the $40 on and I mentioned out loud that I wish I could put less. He said online I could put $20 if I wanted. I explained I could never get it to work. It would never let me enter my credit card number. This man spent 15 minutes helping me. It came down to my internet browser. I was using. It needs to be SAFARI not GOOGLE. When in safari he hit the Aa and then I was able to use my card. Thank you Oscar for taking the time to help me. Now I know the best customer service happens between 11pm and 7am. Train your people overnight with Oscar. Best customer service I’ve seen at...
