What an incredible treasure!! The museum and its devoted curator, Mr. Jeff Taylor Sr., are a wonderful example of American history preservation in this spicy little border town. Mr. Taylor is a gem with stories for miles and a genuine interest in igniting a love for local relics. He encourages a hands-on experience inside the old Fort Duncan Headquarters building with many spacious rooms chock-full of carefully selected artifacts from the military, surrounding area, and native peoples. No matter your interests, there is something for everyone to see. We spent hours exploring and could have spent weeks. There is no cost to visit, but generous donations help to keep the lore of Eagle...

I will start off by saying never judge a book by its cover. Although at first glance the small building seems to be a typical small-town Museum, this time capsule within is a whole nother story. Not only do you receive Eagles Pass' history through paper archives and artifacts from the past but you also get verbal history from Mr Taylor, the Museum's coordinator. Museum is open Tues thru Sat. Was there on a Sunday. Nice buildings on the grounds. Great place for families with kids for them to burn off energy. There is a playground there and many spots to picnic. Fort grounds are owned by the city for recreation.

Best museum we have been to. The curator, Mr. Aguirre, gave us a personal tour. We were amazed on how much history Eagle Pass has. Mr. Aguiller was very knowledgeable and made the experience an amazing one! 5 stars!!!!!
