What an incredible treasure!! The museum and its devoted curator, Mr. Jeff Taylor Sr., are a wonderful example of American history preservation in this spicy little border town. Mr. Taylor is a gem with stories for miles and a genuine interest in igniting a love for local relics. He encourages a hands-on experience inside the old Fort Duncan Headquarters building with many spacious rooms chock-full of carefully selected artifacts from the military, surrounding area, and native peoples. Although at first glance the small building seems to be a typical small-town Museum, this time capsule within is a whole nother story. Not only do you receive Eagles Pass' history through paper archives and artifacts from the past but you also get verbal history from Mr Taylor, the Museum's coordinator.
