Château des Fleurs — Local services in Eagle

We visited on a Tuesday night for my birthday and there was only one other table of diners. -parking was obviously easy The complimentary bread and butter was enjoyed by my husband but I found the bread a little too dense for my liking as well as the fact that some ingredient in either the bread or the butter made the roof of my mouth swell painfully. I stopped eating it as soon as the reaction occurred (Wendy's seems to have changed something in their sandwich recipes that does the same thing) Hubby ordered escargot for his appetizer and was a little disappointed that the butter marinade wasn't the same as it was under the previous chef. He felt it was lacking parmesan, at the least I had the scallops and felt they were cooked nicely save one with a sketchy center. Plate seasonings could have been amped a bit but I was still happy with it We both ordered the full rack of lamb and that's where things went really downhill. The other diners had already received their meals and, if I remember correctly, the wait for our meal was around 30 to 45 minutes. When it finally did arrive, our lamb was small, the cauliflower puree was cold on the outside, lukewarm on the inside, carrots were crunchy in a raw kind of way, and the lamb was cold. Being the only diners in the place, this was a bit of a slap in the face after the wait we had to endure just to get it. I sent mine back because I'm the kind of person that doesn't want to pay 50 bucks for a cold dinner but hubby just ate his because he was starving and requires a lot of calories at regular intervals due to his job. The wait staff did try to do the right thing by offering to take his, too, and the pained look on his face when he was worried they would kind of took a chunk out of my enjoyment of the night. While they can't know how every person would feel about having their food taken away, I do hold them a little responsible for the event because cold food should never happen. Especially at fifty a plate. My order wasn't refired... instead of making a fresh plate of what I should have received in the first place, I was given my original food reheated. I don't know about you but I don't go to a restaurant planning to spend over $200 just to eat the equivalent of left overs and especially if the cut pieces of my protein are missing, too! I paid for the six scrawny lamb chops and I expected to get to eat them. Alas, I did not. Our meal was accompanied by the sounds of the prior diners in the lobby as the waited for their ride. At first it sounded like they were having sex but the maitre d did go check when the moaning sound turned b little more argumentative in timber. They did provide a complimentary dessert for both of us to make up for the cold food but I have a sneaking suspicion they'd have done that anyway since it was my birthday. The highlight of the dessert was a lit candle. That was really nice. I did not ask for a reduced price because we both decided while in the restaurant that we would never be returning. I'd rather let them keep the money and know I'll never waste any more there again. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Only downside to being the only diners is that the staff have nowhere else to really look.

Overall, it was a two out of a ten on expectation and the two was really only earned...

Let me begin by saying I gave VERY MUCH thought in what I wanted to say in this review. We had our daughters Quinceniera here in September 2022. This venue was perfect for our "theme" and offered everything we wanted/needed. It did cost a pretty penny (which we already knew- no complaint there). The Chef was AMAZING with our food selection and had MANY compliments from our guests. Our hairdresser and makeup artist had the perfect space to perform their duties. Natalie who was our "coordinator"- absolutley pleasant to work with- very professional & polite. Always had a smile on. Now the owner Susan wasn't always nice, especially if you didn't agree with a suggestion she had to offer to you. Yes- it is her job to make sure the event is as "we" requested (I've party planned in the past- so I knew what I was doing & received many compliments) BUT she was WAY too involved & tried to make changes last minute along with multiple racial comments towards my ethnicity (ex: I know how your people are (which I asked her to elaborate on) with being late to events-drinking too much-bringing extra/uninvited guest-staying too late). Which I did not appreciate- but kept my mouth shut because that day was about my daughter (I knew my guest & head count). I would have expected more respect especially since we are paying a high price for "her" venue. As a business especially with a very high price point more respect should be given to your clients. I felt humiliated with her comments & 100% dehumanized as if I was not worthy enough to have my mexican family & traditions to be held at such a prestige venue. MY guests had nothing but beautiful words to say about MY event. Little do they know what I dealt with. Susan, I gave you great exposure- because majority of my guests have never even heard of Chateau. I do not know where you felt you could make such judgemental comments (whether your husband is of a different race- that was not acceptable). Change your way of thinking. Chateau is a beautiful venue that should be enjoyed by all- not just what/who you consider to be high class- be more open minded. My husband & I take pride in working hard to have been able to provide such a beautiful Quinceniera for our daughter. I sincerely wish I hadn't felt this way. I also am not intrested in an apology- as I have now read other reviews & seems that I haven't...

On June 28-29, a most epic wedding of the century took place at The Chateau Des Fleurs in Eagle Idaho. Over 200 people from 7 countries and 7 US states came to Idaho to celebrate the marriage of my daughter Pragna to Andrew in a 3 day Indian and American double wedding event. As we await the glorious pictures I hope the world will read what I have to say about Susan Roghani and the Chateau Des Fleurs. What a lady! Aside from her longtime contribution to the community of Idaho and her dedication to the preservation of this beautiful planet, she operates the most outstanding venue, restaurant, winery, orchard and much more!!! Susan is the flower whisperer. She created the most incredible floral for the event that took everyone's breath away. And it was as if we were having a wedding somewhere in the south of Europe. The lush gardens, with its meticulous landscaping, the tall trees swaying in the distance making sounds you could even hear and the incredible ballrooms with chandeliers, tall windows, a long elegant gallery and so much more. Our family were blown away by this venue. The private rooms that allowed the bride and grooms to have so much fun. Even the photographer was intrigued by this paradise. But venues are just buildings. It is the people that make them be what they are. And the love and dedication the pride and the plain old care that Susan and company demonstrate is what makes this place incredible. Susan embraced the culture as she walked about in her lilac Indian Salwaar Khameez getting every detail fixed. She was excited as if it were her own daughter. Anyone even remotely thinking of where to have a wedding in Boise, don't even waste a moment of thought. And for those looking for an Indian wedding with prime elegance. Even the Four Seasons won't match up. Looking for a destination Indian wedding! Look no further. I have researched the entire state. Nothing comes close in venues. .one day full blown ethnic and the next day all American. Overnight the place converted. And they were ready for prime time. Kudos to the Chateau team. Here's to your ongoing success and bringing happiness...
